Overview

First Inspires mission is to inspire young people in becoming leaders and innovators in the field of science and technology. They intend to achieve this by providing mentor-based programs for students that build science, engineering and technology skills. They have reached globally more than 515,000 students and 59,000 teams. The target audience is young people of ages from 6 to 18 years old, from K program to grades 12. There is no fee per individual students, all the fees are referred to the group of students and not on individual basis. First Inspires is supported by Combined Federal Campaign, state and local campaigns.
YMCA NYC mission is empowering the youth of New York, improving health and strengthening the community in general. It serves more than half a million New Yorkers and targets specifically kids from 4 years old to older adults. There is no fee to join the club but the membership depends on the selected package that they offer. They generate revenue through voluntary donations and membership fees.
Do Something aim at creating a positive change for young people in their community whether online or offline. They have a community of more than 5.5 million young people. There is no cost for membership and there is no age specified. Do Something is sponsored by big companies such as Google, General Motors and Coca-Cola. They intend on achieving their goals by successfully accomplishing campaigns that have a big impact.
YouthVentures aims at investing in young people’s journey on making positive changes to their school, college and in their career. They have globally more than 6,000 venture teams while they target teachers, schools, refugees youth organizations and companies. The target age is between 12 to 29 years old. They have no participation fee. #MeWeSyria is an award-winning program of the YouthVentures.
