West African Real Estate Research Companies - Part 1
Five companies that already or are capable of performing in-depth, primary research in the real estate market in West Africa are Infomineo, Webhaptic Intelligence, Edison Research, SIS International and Afriscaper.
We first focused our research on locating companies that are already performing this type of research. This allowed us to find Infomineo, Afriscaper and SIS International. In the course of this research path, we also ran across several firms conducting primary market research in West African markets, focusing on consumer intelligence through things like focus groups, interviews and surveys. However, as this did not seem relevant to the request for real estate market intelligence, we tried to stay away from these types of companies unless that type of primary research was conducted alongside broader market intelligence. This led us to two additional companies included as 'bonus' entities in addition to the five primary ones found.
We then broadened our search slightly into companies that may not specifically mention that they do real estate industry research but seemed capable of such research or offered custom solutions for industry-specific market intelligence. A rationale for inclusion is listed for each company below.
1. INFOMINEO
Infomineo has two pieces of research on their website which shows they are capable of both research in West Africa and focusing on the real estate sector. Infomineo will conduct primary research as part of their broader services to paint a robust, market-wide picture for clients.
2. WEBHAPTIC INTELLIGENCE LTD.
While Webhaptic Intelligence is more market research-focused, their website shows they definitely specialize in western Africa, with primary locations in Nigeria and Ghana. They will conduct custom field, direct and desk research for their clients, giving market insights in a deliverable format. While real estate is not mentioned as a specific industry covered, they state they cover a variety of sectors in both B2C and B2B.
3. EDISON research
Edison Research is a global company, but a case study on their website shows that they definitely will cover West Africa. They cover a variety of industries, and while real estate is not named, we can infer that it is among their diverse capabilities for businesses, governments and media outlets. They cover both quantitative and qualitative research with the capacity for both primary and desk research.
4. SIS INTERNATIONAL
SIS International is also a global research firm. They specifically state that they cover all of Africa in their services to provide market research and business intelligence. Listings of already-conducted research on their website also support that real estate is an industry they can cover.
5. AFRISCAPER
Afriscaper are a local firm that offers both coverage for West Africa (see "Report by Country" on the website) and the real estate industry (see "Reports by Industry"). They will perform custom primary and desk research to give business insights and market intelligence based on the client's needs.
bonus: A54 MARKETING GROUP
A54 Marketing Group seems more focused on primary market research, but we wanted to include them here as they also mention they will work with clients on things like business development and market entry, which seems to imply they offer more than just interviews and focus groups. They are an Africa-focused firm with extensive coverage in West Africa. Real estate is not mentioned specifically, but this is because the website does not actually mention any specific industries or markets they work in.
bonus: PANEL SERVICES AFRICA
Panel Services Africa is also more focus groups/surveys/interviews-oriented in their offerings, but since they can do focus groups and targeted research to groups in certain industries, we thought this company could possibly be relevant for research among real estate professionals. They are based in South Africa, but they do research all over the continent.
