Website Comparisons (1)

Three websites, Pete Carroll’s site, Compete to Create, and Simon Sinek’s site, were evaluated for their content, online coursework, and ecommerce wares, among other elements. All details for each website can be found on the spreadsheet on Rows 2 – 4.

Pete Carroll

  • Pete Carroll’s site offers a small selection of free content, like blogs, podcasts, and articles, and no premium/paid content. The site offers no online learning or courses, but does link to Carroll’s other ventures, like Compete to Create and USC’s Performance Science Institute, both of which offer online coursework. The site has no ecommerce shop.

Compete to Create

  • The Compete to Create site offers a mid-sized range of free content, like articles, blogs, and podcasts. The site offers multiple online learning courses, including “Finding Your Best” for individuals, teams, and others, as well as 8-week courses for enterprises, and 2-day virtual courses. Additional premium content, like videos, can be accessed by those purchasing access to courses. The site offers no ecommerce shop.

Simon Sinek

  • Simon Sinek’s site offers a large selection of free content, like blogs, articles, and videos, as well as paid/premium content (videos, courses, etc). The site offers a selection of live, virtual courses for individuals and organizations/teams, as well as one-on-one sessions. Additional premium content can be accessed by those purchasing access to courses. The site’s ecommerce shop includes registration into online courses, as well as books, tools/exercises, and swag/merchandise.

Three websites, Rich Roll’s site, Brene Brown’s site, and Tim Ferris’ site, were evaluated for their content, online coursework, and ecommerce wares, among other elements. All details for each website can be found on the spreadsheet on Rows 5 - 7.

Rich Roll

  • Rich Roll’s site offers a wide range of free content, like blogs, podcasts, articles, videos, and educational resources for free. Paid content offerings include the PlantPower Meal Planner, as well as books and other educational resources from Roll and his sponsors. No online courses or trainings are offered, though Roll offers international retreats, along with workshops and speaking engagements. The site’s ecommerce shop offers a selection of products, like art prints, planners, books, apparel, stickers, cookbooks, videos, and other items.

Brene Brown

  • Brene Brown’s site offers a huge range of free content, like blogs, podcasts, articles, videos, and a large selection of educational resources, as well as content via two hubs Dare to Lead Hub and Daring Classrooms Hub. The only paid content offerings are books (by Brown and others), though additional premium content may be included on the hubs. The site offers no online training, and the ecommerce shops offers books (again by Brown and others).

Tim Ferris

  • Tim Ferris’ site offers a wide range of free content, like blogs, podcasts, articles, and educational resources; the site does not appear to offer paid content nor does Ferris offer online training / courses. Ferris is not currently available for interviews or speaking engagements of any kind, and asks for commentary through the comments feature on his blogs, podcasts, and social media posts. The site’s ecommerce shop offers books by Ferris.
