I want to know all the festivals that I can submit a VR film/game to for exhibition.
There are currently 44 film and game festivals accepting virtual reality submissions for exhibition and competition. Of these 44, there are 7 game festivals and 37 film festivals. The details for each festival have been entered on the attached spreadsheet.
Methodology
To begin researching festivals that allow VR submissions, I found several pre-compiled lists of film festivals that have allowed VR entries in the past or are expected to allow VR entries for future events. These pre-compiled lists proved very useful, as I was able to research each festival independently to verify VR submission capabilities, festival dates, and submission deadlines.
Please note that since many film festivals have just ended or their submission deadlines have passed, I have only included annual events that occur during the same month every year so that I could also provide the corresponding submission deadline month. The submission links are often those for previous festivals, but mention they will be updated as soon as submissions for the next festival are open. As the exact festival and submission dates are likely to change each year (but still occur within the same month), I was unable to enter exact deadline dates for submissions. However, several of the late spring and early fall festivals have opened their submission windows for 2018 and the entry forms can be accessed via the links in column F of the attached spreadsheet.
There are also many film festivals that are showcasing VR technology at their 2018 events, but since these festivals are not currently accepting open submissions, I did not include them on the list. These festivals, like the Cannes Film Festival, are showing VR films they have curated specifically for their attendees' experience, but they are not exhibiting VR films from submissions.
The festivals are listed in order of occurrence from January through December. If more than one festival occurs during a month, they are then listed by earliest submission deadline.
Although I am confident I found all major festivals that are accepting VR submissions, it is possible I missed one or more smaller festivals. However, I believe the list of 44 events will help you find several festivals to which you can submit your VR film.

On the attached spreadsheet, you will find the website, festival location, month of festival, month of submission deadline, and submission link for 44 festivals that are currently accepting or will be accepting VR submissions for their 2018 or 2019 festivals.
