Which US VCs or corporate venture arms have at least one investment in UK startups at round A or B?
Hi! Thank you for your question about US VCs or corporate venture arms with at least one investment in UK startups at Series A or B funding round.
In short, I have prepared a list of 10 such US VCs. I found the notioncapital and crunchbase to be the most helpful in answering this question. I have provided a deep dive of my findings below.
METHODOLOGY
I started searching for UK startups having achieved Series A or B rounds in the near past. Subsequently, I checked for the crunchbase page of each to sift through the VCs who invested in Series A or Series B rounds of financing. From this repeated exercise, I prepared a list of 10 US VCs who have invested in at least one UK startup – 10 being the standard Wonder list. A subsequent can be submitted to expand this list further.

CONCLUSION
To conclude, while there are limited investments in UK by US VCs, due to emergence of multiple offices by VC firms across the globe, there has been increase in investments by US VCs in UK owing to the capital depth. Furthermore, many US VC firms have relocated the UK startups office to US after investment to be able to leverage the network and expertise which the VC firm brings along with capital.
I hope the research is useful. Thank you for using Wonder!
