Research Strategy

After an exhaustive search, we were able to locate only eight instead of ten or twelve unique recent news surrounding Trivium Packaging. This could be because Trivium Packaging was formed recently. According to PR News Wire, Ardagh Group's Food & Specialty Metal Packaging business completed its merger with Exal Corporation in October 2019. On July 2019, Ardagh Group announced that it would enter into an agreement with Excel Corporation to form Trivium Packaging. A Powerpoint presentation also confirms Ardagh Food and Specialty integration with Exal Corporation to form Trivium Packaging on July 2019. Please note that the agreement was entered on July 2019 while the merger was completed in October 2019. Therefore, most news articles are dated from July 2019 to November 2019.

To provide unique recent news and media articles about Trivium Packaging that chronicle the company's issues over the past 12 months, our first approach was to search through the news and press release section of the Trivium Packaging website. Unfortunately, the site does not have such a section. There are only markets, products, investors, locations, and contact sections.

Next, we searched through media and general news. During the search, we were able to find news articles about Trivium Packaging published on PR News Wire, Irish Times, Aluminum Insider, Deventer Radio and Televise, and others. The articles were about the awards received by the subsidiaries of Trivium, the merger between the two companies, and Blik sponsorships.

We then searched through market publications and news reports, industry-specific news from sources like NASDAQ, Business Wire, Globe Newswire, and Finanzen.ch, Stock Exchange Social Network, and Packaging Labeling. Unfortunately, most of the information pertained to the merger that formed Trivium.

Lastly, we searched through packaging associations to find any notable mentions of Trivium Packaging. We searched through several packaging association websites like the Independent Packaging Association, the Association of Packaging and Processing Technologies, Flexible Packaging Association, and Food Service and Packaging Institute. Unfortunately, we did not find any news articles that featured Trivium Packaging.
