What is 'top eleven' game/ mobile app statistic data (number of downloads, revenue, engagement etc.)? http://www.topeleven.com/

Hello! Thanks for your question about underlying app data for the game/mobile app Top Eleven. The short version is that most recent data for this this app indicates that it has been downloaded over 50 million times. It has an estimated revenue of $31K in the last 30 days with 82% of that coming from in-app purchases and the balance from advertising. Below you will find a deep dive of my findings.

METHODOLOGY
In researching this issue, I first visited the app site itself for a better understanding of the product. I followed this by researching numerous sites that provide data on mobile apps, said data including the number of downloads, revenue streams, rankings, visibility, reviews etc. While all of the data was not identical, it did provide a comprehensive overview of the product and its current trajectory in the marketplace.

APP OVERVIEW
Top Eleven is a gaming app affording the player the opportunity to manage soccer teams. It was first introduced on Facebook by Nordeus. In 2012 at the London Web Summit it won the People's Choice Award for the best start-up. It was originally released in 2011, but was most recently updated on December 20, 2016 with version 5.2. This newest version is named Top Eleven 2017.

FINDINGS
Top Eleven has been installed at least 50 million times, but my research indicated that the number may be as high as 100 million. When the latest version was released the app's download statistics had essentially leveled off at 23K, but they skyrocketed to 42,067 within 4 days. Since then they have seen downloads between 30K and 38K each day, the most recent being 35,773 on January 8, 2017.

This app currently has approximately 1,000,000 daily, weekly and monthly users and based upon that rate it ranks at 124th of all monthly gaming users. Over 50% of its users are males between the ages of 18 and 34. The overwhelming majority, 86%, use the game on mobile devices.

The app is very popular among sports games, currently holding a 16th place ranking (on Android devices) that has remained steady since the latest version's release. Its ranking has also remained steady among all categories of apps and it is starting to increase in its Google Play Rank (currently performing at 107th among games/sports apps). Detailed data for Apple device installation is more spotty; however, indications are that a significant majority (60.5%) of App Store users reach the app through searches, whereas 35.1% of users did so based upon referrals. The numbers were even greater for Google Play users, 85.8% of whom found the app through searches, as opposed to only 9.8% who did so based upon referrals.

I also looked at the countries in which the app was the most popular. It now appears to be most popular in Costa Rica, followed by Argentina, Denmark, Spain, Germany and the Netherlands. It is also very popular in Russia and Canada, but ranks only 533rd in the U.S.

In a world in which mobile game revenue reportedly is as much as $45 billion, Top Eleven 2017 is reportedly bringing in as little as $8,321 in revenue per day ($3,037,165 per year), but another site lists it as having a daily revenue stream of $31,000 ($11,315,000 per year) on a global basis. Of that, $26,000 is derived from in-app purchases, and $5,700 is from advertising. Nordeus Limited, the company that developed and released Top Eleven 2017, reportedly has total annual sales of $63.24 million, meaning that revenues from Top Eleven may comprise as much as 18% of Nordeus' total annual revenue.

One of the factors influencing an app's success is its visibility, i.e. how likely is it to be found by the public. The visibility factor has been quantified and it is typically comprised of multiple factors such as how likely the app is going to be found in Google Play and the App Store, as well as the keywords that are used to direct visitors to it. Based upon those factors Top Eleven 2017 is currently experiencing an upward trend, scoring 2,345 on a scale of between 500 and 4,000. Its thee top-ranked keywords are soccer, eleven and manager.

Another way to evaluate an app is to track the number and strength of reviews that it receives. Daily tracking charts gauge this interest on a continuum. These charts show that in the past month the app's lowest volume was seen on the day that the latest version was released, but it has been trending upward since that time. On January 9th the app was reviewed favorably by 1,502 reviewers, while negative reviews were a scant 111.

App engagement is a term of art that describes such things as the number of times an app is launched each month, the session length and the amount of time users typically spend in the app. On average, users open gaming apps 9.5 times/month, stay on an individual app 7.55 minutes/month and spend 71,73 minutes/month in total on gaming apps. Unfortunately, I was unable to locate engagement data on this specific app.

CONCLUSION
To wrap it up, Top Eleven has been installed at least 50 million times and has a daily revenue stream of at least $8,321. I was unable to locate specific engagement data on this app, although it is quite popular, seeing upward trends in visibility and the number of positive reviews it continually receives.
