- This second smart lights' device created by Phillips is another version of the LightStrip designed for outdoors and weatherproof, ideal for holidays. It has the same functions and smart app control as other Phillips lights, with a wide range of colors and designs for $89.

- This smart security camera was recommended by Gear Brain as one of the best smart home gifts to give during these holidays. The camera was created by Nest, one of Alphabet's companies.
- The camera isn't weatherproof as it was created for indoor use but can be plugged to any electrical outlet to keep an eye of the home through a smartphone app while away on holiday vacation or visiting the relatives.
- It can record videos at 1080P Full HD, and it has an incorporated speaker and microphone. It has a sensitivity sensor that starts recording and sends an alert to the mobile app as soon as the camera detects movement or new sounds.
5. Nest Cam Outdoor
- As the name indicates, this Nest security cam was created for outdoor use and is weatherproofed. Also, listed as one of the top holiday smart home gifts by Gear Brain, this camera allows control through a smart app.
- It starts recording and sends an alert to the app when the camera detects new movement and sounds. It records at 1080P Full HD and has night vision integrated for nighttime recording.

Research Strategy
To determine 15 of the top smart home consumer products for the holiday season in the U.S./North America, we began looking for articles in technology and industry magazines that covered ideal smart home devices and products to use during the holidays or Christmas. We found that the most popular holiday smart home devices products are smart Christmas lights, but we weren't able to find more products that were used "the most" during the holiday season, as most smart devices are also popular throughout the year.
Next, we decided to look for articles and industry lists of ideal Christmas and Holiday gifts that people would love to receive during the holiday season in 2020. Our idea was that, if people like giving them as Christmas gifts, this makes them top products to sell or use during holidays. We found smart home speakers, cameras, and other devices, which, even if these aren't used solely on holidays, were considered ideal holiday gifts.
We only used sources with information from the U.S./North America.
For every device provided, we confirmed if a newer version will be released by the holiday season, assuming if the previous version was considered a top holiday gift, the newer version would also be. We included the most recent version.
Finally, we determined the top products as the ones repeated most often across multiple sources and lists of top holiday smart home products.
