Who are the top (#11-20) software development consulting firms in the US, by yearly revenue? Need revenue, market cap, avg project size, and customer retention for each. Ideally would like data historically for each going back 10 years. Put your findings in this spreadsheet - https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1g6ccV8DsA4n_uCY99fQ_jTm3J-hmMh9ArBAVb-KgKzs/edit?usp=sharing

Hi there, and thanks for asking Wonder! I understand you'd like a continuation of your list of the top software development consulting firms in the US, by revenue. In short, the next data set for this industry include, in order: Cisco Systems, Red Hat, Mindtree, ThoughtWorks, Mirantis, iTranition, Amadeus Consulting, IntellectSoft, AmDocs and Citrix. Details on estimated or historical revenue can be found in the spreadsheet, per your request, and you'll find my methodology below.

METHODOLOGY
I began by searching through multiple "top of" precompiled lists for IT services, including a Forbes 2016 "World's Biggest Public Companies" (software), and cross-compared these lists to the 1-10 information already compiled in your spreadsheet. I included all the companies from the Forbes listing not listed in the previous data set, and which definitively offer consulting services. After extensive search, I was unable to find a more extensive precompiled list specific to this industry segment. To round out the data set for this response, I used business information providers to assess competitors and consulted annual report information to verify their ranking via annual revenue. However, this strategy only generated 6 software development firms which offer consulting, since many of the competitor firms listed either did not specifically offering consulting services, or did not develop software. I did, however, find another list for the "Top Enterprise Software Development Firms," and have included 4 more firms from this list (top, by revenue) to round out the data set in this response.

I will note two elements of consequence for this response, and for any future requests on this question:

1) While there is no dearth of search results for software development consulting firms, there is also no reasonable way to determine the ranking of these search results. Precompiled lists from financial or tech industry sources and market research reports are the most reliable indicators for determining the 'top' of any industry, and these are the sources which the previous researcher and I have used. However, once these sources are tapped out, there is no way to determine where Company A (at the top of the search results) falls, per revenue, in its field.

2) Financial information for private companies in the US is almost universally unavailable to the public. US companies are required to disclose nothing to the public about their annual revenue, and most therefore do not. Even business information provider estimations of annual revenue are merely estimations. Without the detailed information available in public annual reports, there is not sufficient data available to estimate or calculate the other financial details you have requested - market cap, average project size, and customer retention. For this reasons, I was only able to provide definitive current annual revenue for the publicly listed companies in this list. Estimated data is shaded in the spreadsheet.

Lastly, it sometimes happens that a question falls outside the scope of a single Wonder request, as is the case with this question. Whereas the researcher for the first data set (1-10) was able to rely on comprehensive precompiled data, the data for this response was generated through extensive search. As such, the company names, ranked by revenue, and their current/historical revenue information falls within the scope of one research request. If you'd like us to dive deeper into the financial details you have requested, we would be happy to do that for the publicly-traded companies as a separate request - just let us know!

Thanks so much for using Wonder, and please let us know if you'd like us to research follow-up information for this question, or any other information!
