Research Methodology

To generate the list of seven South Carolina textile companies that would be sourcing textiles for further processing by cutting, sewing, etc., your research team began by examining lists of South Carolina textiles companies published by ThomasNet®, Sciway, and Manta. Next, we narrowed down our approach to analyze each company in the lists to confirm whether they are sourcing for textile material for downstream processing into finished products. We continued searching through each company's ('About Us,' home, and product's) pages to identify the material sourced and the resulting finished products. In cases where the companies have not provided information about the raw materials they source for, we checked the material composition of the finished product, whether (cotton, wool, polyester, etc.), to determine the input materials. Overall, the seven companies profiled above do source for textile materials to process finished goods for various industries, including apparel, performance, industrial, etc.
