Research Methodology

To find additional companies that use a multi-revenue stream business model to generate revenue, we started by identifying more competitors in the global metallic coatings industry. The two competitors profiled were identified following extensive searches through industry reports, including a detailed list published by PCI Magazine and a report by News Box about the top paints and coatings players globally. From these reports, we searched for information about the business models the companies identified use, excluding those that have been compiled in the previous requests. Importantly, we made sure to select companies providing coatings products and services globally.

On that note, after filtering the companies listed in the reports, we identified Asian Paints and Sierra Performance Coatings as examples of companies also using a multi-revenue stream business model. We then proceeded to examine each company's products, services, and company information, including their annual reports uncovering more details about their business models. Some notable variations in their business models include Asian Paints' e-commerce platform to sell directly to its customers, and Sierra Performance Coatings' customizable and personalized coatings services and products. Overall, while these companies operate in different regions and focus on completely different coatings solutions, the variations in their business model is insignificant since it generally revolves around the sale of products and services.
