Skilled Nursing Facility Grant Opportunities
Summary
Some Skilled Nursing Facility Grant Opportunities are Community Care Expansion (CCE) Program and Community Facilities Direct Loan & Grant Program in Georgia. We provided open grant opportunities for the top 20 states by population, focusing on infection prevention and/or facility upgrade grants for senior care, assisted living, and skilled nursing facilities. For each state, we provided the name of the grant, the state where the grant is available, and the application deadline.
Research Strategy
To provide a high-level overview of Skilled Nursing Facility Grant Opportunities, the research team leveraged the most advanced research methodologies, such as generative AI-powered search, industry and research databases, and advanced web search techniques to facilitate our research. We used the most reputable information sources available in the public domain, including, each State Department of Health Grant website (e.g., Florida Health), Grants.gov, Press Releases (U.S. News Health), Bureau of Health Workforce, RRF Foundation for Aging, and AARP Foundation, among others.
After conducting an extensive search for information on grants related to active infection prevention and facility upgrades in senior care, assisted living, and skilled nursing facilities, we found that such specific information was not publicly available. As a result, we pivoted our research strategy to focus on grants available for senior living facilities across all 20 states. In this revised approach, we consulted reputable sources such as Instrumentl.com, The National Council on Aging, the U.S. Department of Agriculture, the National Institutes of Health, and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. These sources led us to the Community Facilities Direct Loan & Grant Program, available for all states and specifically mentions grants for facility upgrades in senior care settings.
Subsequently, we shifted our focus to grants specifically aimed at active infection prevention within senior care, assisted living, and skilled nursing facilities. We reviewed a range of credible sources, including but not limited to Grantwatch, McKnights Senior Living, and Grantome. Unfortunately, most of the application windows for these grants had already closed. Therefore, we supplemented our findings with information on the Community Facilities Direct Loan & Grant Program available in all states and added some helpful findings, e.g., "Quality Incentive Payment Program for Nursing Homes — is a state-directed payment program (DPP) designed to help nursing facilities achieve transformation in quality care through innovation."
Next Steps
We have already compiled information on grant opportunities for Skilled Nursing Facilities in the first top 20 states by population. However, most of these grants are no longer accepting applications. As a next step, we recommend conducting further research in Phase 2 to identify available grants in the next set of top 20 states. This research will specifically target grants for infection prevention and facility upgrades within senior care, assisted living, and skilled nursing facilities. The information provided will include the name of the grant, the state where the grant is available, and the application deadline.
