YOUR RESEARCH TEAM APPLIED THE FOLLOWING SEARCH STRATEGY
All of the above-listed SEO Directors were identified via a LinkedIn search and in conjunction with the list of professionals previously provided on the attached spreadsheet. Specifically, your research team used LinkedIn's "People Search" feature to identify a list of SEO Directors in the United States. From there, we narrowed the results to include only those individuals who are currently employed in this role, and whose job title is explicitly that of "SEO Director." We then further narrowed our results to exclude any professionals previously listed on the attached spreadsheet.
Once a list of 10 SEO Directors in the United States had been identified and their LinkedIn profiles populated, your research team reviewed each individual's LinkedIn profile to identify a list of their relevant skills, whether or not they have an advanced degree, how many months have elapsed since they completed their undergraduate degree, and the average number of months for which they remain at a single position.
In identifying which skills could be considered "relevant" to the role of SEO Director, we have focused on those skills concerning the use of social media, marketing, SEO, analytics, and writing. We have chosen these broad topics as they are all necessary to the role of an SEO Director.
In order to calculate the average number of months for which each individual remains at a single position, we began by adding up the number of months they have spent at each position listed on their LinkedIn profiles. Once a total had been calculated, we then divided that by the total number of positions which had been held. In so doing, we were able to ascertain an average number of months spent at a job. An example of this calculation has been provided below, using Rachel Lowe as an example:
6 + 6 + 19 + 38 + 14 + 23 + 10 = 116 / 7 = 16.57
For two of the SEO Directors identified — Rachel Lowe and Bill Rowland — the number of months which have elapsed since their college graduation could not be provided. This is because these individuals did not publish their college graduation date on their LinkedIn profiles. As a result, these cells of the spreadsheet have been marked "N/A."
