We identified an additional 10 SEO Managers in the United States on LinkedIn by scanning through the LinkedIn platform. In order to calculate the average job time/tenure of each SEO Manager, we added the number of months they worked at each company divided by the total number of jobs they had at different companies.
While calculating the average tenure for the identified SEO Managers, we only considered their professional jobs roles and excluded their community/volunteer or other experience. For example, for Simon Dreyfuss, we excluded his community/volunteer and sports team related experience and only included his tenure at specific 'job' roles. For Reed Daw, we excluded Reed's tenure as a bartender. Additionally, David Tutin has been the owner of Search Nomad
since 2011, however, given the fact that he was still working at other companies during that time, we did not include his overlapping tenure as the owner of Search Nomad in calculating the average number of months he stays in a job.
For the SEO Managers that did not have six job-related skills listed in the "Knowledge" section of their LinkedIn profile, we added a few skills from the "Other" skills section of their profile.
While calculating the total number of months since the person graduated from college, we found that only the year of graduation was available on the profile pages of the identified SEO Managers. For the profiles where the year of graduation and the starting year of the first job were the same, we assumed the month of graduation to be the month prior to starting the first job. For all other cases, the month of graduation was assumed to be May-June as most colleges/universities in the US have graduations scheduled in these months. The months since graduation were then calculated from June onwards.
