Activities in the Bonita Springs, FL/Naples/Ft. Myers Area

Seven activities happening in the Bonita Springs/Naples/Fort Myers, Florida area between February 16 and February 23 are the SWFK Veg Fest, the Naples National Art Show, the Fort Myers Greek Festival, the 2nd Annual Chili Cook Off & Monster Truck Show, a Spring Training baseball game between the Minnesota Golden Gophers and the Minnesota Twins, the 7th Annual TALC FUNd Run, and the Hooters Fort Myers Pro Rodeo. All activities are family friendly and at least two offer philanthropic opportunities. Details for these events are below.

SWFL Veg Fest

  • The mission of the SWFL Veg Fest is to showcase "the benefits of a plant-based lifestyle for our health, compassion for animals and protecting our planet."
  • There will be expert speakers, cooking demonstrations, vendors, animal rescues, entertainment, and "activities for the whole family."

Naples National Art Show

  • This event is scheduled for February 22-23, 2020, at Cambier Park & 8th St. South, Naples, Florida 34102.
  • Event hours are between 10:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. both days.
  • This event is free to attend.
  • Voted one of the top 25 art shows in the country, the Naples National Art Show "showcases the talents of approximately 190 artists. Artistic mediums include Ceramics, Digital Art, Fiber/Leather, Furniture, Glass, Graphics/Printmaking, Jewelry, Metal, Mixed Media 2D, Mixed Media 3D, Painting, Photography, Sculpture, and Wood."
  • There is also a concert in the park on Saturday evening, which starts at 5:00 p.m. and features the music of the Blu-Tones.
  • At the show, which has a festival-like atmosphere, there will also be culinary delights and a kids zone.

Fort Myers Greek Festival

  • This event is scheduled for February 21-23, 2020, at Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church, 8210 Cypress Lake Drive, Fort Myers, Florida 33919.
  • Event hours are 11:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. on February 21 and 22, and 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. on February 23.
  • In its 45th year, the Greek Festival features authentic Greek food, carnival rides and games, live music, dance performances, a car raffle, and merchandise vendors.
  • Adults are $5.00 each for the entire weekend and children 12 and under are free.

2nd Annual Chili Cook Off & Monster Truck Show

Spring Training — Minnesota Golden Gophers vs. Minnesota Twins

  • This is the opening spring training baseball game for the University of Minnesota and Major League Baseball's Minnesota Twins.

7th Annual TALC FUNd Run

Hooters Fort Myers Pro Rodeo

  • This event is scheduled for February 21-23, 2020, at the Lee County Posse Arena, 17401 Palm Creek Drive, North Fort Myers, FL 33917.
  • On February 21 and 22, gates open at 5:00 p.m. and the rodeo starts at 7:00 p.m. On February 23, gates open at 12:00 p.m. and the rodeo starts at 2:00 p.m.
  • The rodeo will feature "some of the nation’s best pro cowboys and cowgirls" in bull riding, bareback bronc riding, steer wrestling, saddle bronc riding, tie-down calf roping, team roping, and barrel racing.
  • There will also be a clown act an "entertaining kids’ calf scramble," and "three exhilarating nights of action-packed entertainment and fun for the entire family."
  • Food and merchandise vendors will also be on site.
  • General admission tickets for adults are $25 and for children between ages 5 and 12 are $12. Children ages 4 and under are free.
