Education Market Research 1
In the past five years, McKinsey has published 17 PDF research reports and other documents on the topic of education, as has Deloitte. BCG and PwC have each published seven, Bain & Company has published three, and Booz Allen Hamilton has not published any research or thought leadership publications at all. All links have been added to the appropriate columns for each company on the attached spreadsheet.
Methodology
To find all PDF reports about education published by McKinsey, BCG, Bain & Company, Deloitte, PwC, and Booz Allen Hamilton over the past five years, we began by conducting a cursory search on each company's website. This produced the most recent reports available. Following this, we used various tools to search deeper on each company's website, which unearthed more PDFs from earlier years. Finally, we conducted a press search from January 1, 2014 through May 30, 2019, to identify any media mentions or press releases about reports on education from any of these consulting groups. We believe that by following these three strategies, we have uncovered all relevant PDFs from these six companies.
Please note that none of the companies had more than 10 PDF reports available from the last five years, so in all cases where available, we included PDF articles as well as reports. We did not, however, include infographics, presentations, or services brochures. In addition, we limited our scope to reports and articles on early education, K-12 education, and higher education in the United States only. We did not include any reports on education in the workplace, continuing education, training, or education in other parts of the world.
For Booz Allen Hamilton, we were unable to find any publications (PDF or otherwise) on education. We found that their research focuses on government, industry, analytics, cybersecurity, digital solutions, military, energy, engineering, healthcare, and other non-education sectors. We thoroughly searched through their consultation publications, of which there are 99, and found that none of them are focused on any aspect of education. There were a few mentions of educational partnerships between Booz Allen Hamilton and community education initiatives, but no reports or articles were found. It is our belief that this consulting firm does not conduct research on educational topics and instead focuses its expertise elsewhere.
