Startup Market Research Companies
Notable market research startups, according to AngelList, include Little Bird, Survata, Traackr and Pick1. Exhaustive search of the public domain indicates that valuation data is extremely scarce for this subset of startups, but AngelList estimates that they are valued at $4.5M on average. All details including source links have been included in the provided spreadsheet, and you'll find relevant methodology notes below.
METHODOLOGY
I used the AngelList database to search for market research startups, and cross-compared this list of startups to third-party business profiles on Owler and Crunchbase. Only companies with revenue estimates are included in this report. As the first 21 companies on this list only yielded 9 applicable results, I also included Attest, which was discovered independently during my search for a precompiled list. Together these form a list of 10 market research startups with available revenue data.
Please note that all revenues are estimates, as all of the startups in this list are private companies. Valuation, either at the time of the last funding round or at the time of acquisition, was consistently scarce - neither third-party business information profiles nor media coverage of funding rounds and acquisitions for the listed companies included valuation data (ex: here and here). Of the 10 companies listed, only Pick1 had valuation data available in the public domain. However, please note that AngelList's evaluation of the average valuation for these companies is $4.5M.
Additionally, I was unable to confirm information delivery channels to clients for Little Bird, as its website requires an account to access any information, and there were no third-party accounts available detailing how Little Bird delivers its results to its clients. However, it is reasonable to assume that it is delivered via report or a digital dashboard, given that its research is confined to the digital space.
CONCLUSION
Notable market research startups by revenue include Survata, Traackr and Pick1. Digital access through the platform dashboard is the primary way that the majority of these companies transmit results to their clients.
