Research the background of Shane Evangelist (former CEO @ US Auto Parts)
Shane Evangelist grew up in New York and attended school at UNM where he served as Student Body President and received his BBA. He later attended SMU for his MBA. He went on to hold various leadership and management positions at IBM, Blockbuster, and U.S. Auto Parts Network. Evangelist supports and sits on the boards of multiple community programs dedicated to helping children learn and grow. Below, you will find a break down of my findings.
BIOGRAPHIC
Shane Evangelist, a native of New York, attended the University of New Mexico on a gymnastics scholarship. He participated on the gymnastics team, where he served as team captain, and later played on the golf team. During this time he was elected ASUNM Student Body President. The skills and qualities he developed while playing sports allowed him to excel as Student Body President. While holding this position, Evangelist worked to reform and implement a funding policy that stayed in place years after he graduated. After leaving UNM with his BBA, he went on to Southern Methodist University for his MBA. After graduation, Evangelist went on to make great strides in his professional life. He implemented game-changing strategies and exhibited the same leadership qualities that he fostered while in school. Shane Evangelist held high positions at IBM, Blockbuster, and became CEO of U.S. Auto Parts Network Inc. He currently holds the position of CEO at NEOGOV where he has garnered a 100% approval rating.
COMMUNITY
Shane Evangelist is dedicated to cultivating new generations into well-rounded leaders. In 2009, he encouraged Patricia Jones to create the instructor manual and student handbook that would become Love4Life. He then used it as a mentorship program for his U.S. Auto Parts management team. Love4Life is now a social and emotional program that works to empower students. He also serves on the Board of Directors for the PS I Love You Foundation which works to empower at-risk youth through mentor ship. The Knowing Garden, where Evangelist sits on the advisory board, seeks to teach its students to have a love of learning and grow to be innovators.

In 2014, Evangelist was welcomed back to his Alma matter, UNM to speak at the undergraduate commencement ceremony. In November 2014, he interviewed with the Los Angeles Times to discuss the state of U.S. Auto Parts Network, where he sat as CEO. Evangelist was featured twice on PR Newswire. Once in 2015 awarding a sweepstakes' winner with her prize, and again in 2017 in regard to his resignation from his position as CEO at U.S. Auto Parts Network.

CONCLUSION
In conclusion, Shane Evangelist has exhibited great leadership skills from very early on. He continuously made great strides in his professional career with each company he has worked with. Evangelist has also shown his dedication to cultivating the next generation through his work with various community organizations.
