ARTICLES ABOUT IVANKA TRUMP

RESEARCH STRATEGY

Despite extensive research, we were unable to identify any articles published in the past six months concerning Ivanka Trump's fashion brand. This is likely because she closed the brand down about a year ago, in the summer of 2018.

Nonetheless, we attempted to locate articles on the subject of Ivanka Trump's fashion brand first by conducting a direct search of major news organization websites, such as the Washington Post, the New York Times, and the Atlantic. This provided a number of articles from 2018, around the time that Trump announced she would be shuttering her brand of the same name. As well, a number of articles were found focusing on her current fashion choices in her own everyday outfits. However, no articles from the past six months could be found relating specifically to her fashion brand.

We next turned to more fashion-oriented publications in search of articles on the subject of Ivanka Trump's fashion line, including websites such as Refinery 29 and Cosmopolitan; as well as more business-oriented publications, such as Business Week and Forbes. Our hope in refocusing our research in this way, was that articles concerning Ivanka Trump's fashion brand might be more readily available on fashion- and business-focused websites, despite it having been shut down about a year ago. Specifically, we were hopeful that articles might be available on the reasons behind her shutting the brand down and how it has impacted her net worth or reputation. However, this strategy provided the same types of results as our first, with many articles available from 2018 as well as more current articles focused on Ivanka Trump's own outfits, but none focused on her fashion brand specifically.

Finally, we turned to social media in the hope that recent news articles about Ivanka Trump's clothing brand may be shared or published there. We reviewed a number of social media websites, including Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram, searching each for hashtags and phrases related to Ivanka Trump and her fashion brand. Again, this provided a number of articles from 2018 and earlier, as well as a number of articles and posts relating to her current fashion choices, but no recent articles about her fashion brand could be found in this way.

Following this, we expanded our research to include articles about Ivanka Trump's fashion choices from the past six months as well as about her business choices and financial status in general.
