Research Strategy:

After conducting an exhaustive search for information on the demographics of the attendees of real estate investing conferences/summits, we were unable to find publicly available information of the same. We primarily focused our search for this information on statistical resources such as IBIS World and Statista, government sources such as U.S. Census Bureau, news sources such as CNN and Reuters, and press release resources such as PR Newswire and Globenewswire. Even though the requested information was not available publicly, we were able to twist the research metrics to the demographics of real estate investors in the U.S and ended up finding a source that contained insightful information on this group of individuals. Our assumption was that real estate investors make up the majority of the attendees of real estate investing conferences and summits and their demographic information would thus prove useful. We attributed the lack of information in the public domain to the fact that most real estate investing conferences and summits do not publish the demographic information of their attendees publicly.

Research Strategy:

After conducting an exhaustive search for information on the total number and average size of real estate investing conferences/summits, we determined that this information is unavailable in the public domain. Consequently, we revised the research parameters to the total number and average size of real estate conferences/summits with the hope that insightful information would be found, but we were still unable to find any relevant information in the public domain. We focused our search for this information on statistical resources such as IBIS World and Statista, government sources such as U.S. Census Bureau, news sources such as CNN and Reuters, and press release resources such as PR Newswire and Globenewswire.

We further expanded the research parameters to the total number and average size of conferences/summits in general in the U.S. with the hope that we were going to find some useful data that could be used as proxy findings. Here, we were able to find some insightful information on the average size of attendance and the total number of meetings held annually in the U.S. between 2016 and 2017. We attributed the unavailability of the requested data points to the fact that players in the real estate investing and real estate sector do not publish aggregate reports on the total number and average size of conferences and summits held in the U.S. annually.
