Prudential Business Unit - PGIM

The asset management unit (PGIM) of Prudential Financial is headed by President and Chief Executive Officer David Hunt. PGIM provides reward packages such as competitive pay, performance-based incentives, and retirement plans for the employees. Research Strategy

To identify the required details specific to unit-level organizational structure for PGIM, we commenced our search on the company’s websites, where we were able to retrieve information that the Asset Management Unit of Prudential Financial operates as PGIM. The website covers information specific to all groups of PGIM, which is made up of eight core business groups, including PGIM Fixed Income, Jennison Associates, QMA, PGIM Private Capital, PGIM Real Estate Finance, PGIM Real Estate, PGIM Global Partners, and PGIM Investments, along with detailed information of c-level executives who all report to David A. Hunt, president and chief executive officer of PGIM. Additionally, we have also made use of the job portal sites such as Glassdoor and SimplyHired, along with the LinkedIn pages of the asset management groups to include additional relevant information regarding recruiting and employee experience for these units. All the information mentioned covers details related to all the groups operating under the asset management unit, PGIM.

Research found the unit structures for Prudential Retirement and Prudential Group Insurance solutions. The structure of the overarching department, Prudential Workplace solutions, is also included.

PRUDENTIAL WORKPLACE SOLUTIONS

PRUDENTIAL RETIREMENT

  • Yanela Frias (level 2) is president of Prudential Retirement, a business unit of Prudential Financial. Prudential Retirement provides investment management for companies and individuals, services which include "defined contribution, defined benefit, non qualified deferred compensation plan administration, and institutional investment and risk management services".

RESEARCH STRATEGY

Since the names of the current heads of departments were pay walled but the names of the actual positions were not, organizational charts were only used to glean a business unit's structure. The names of the people currently in those positions were then found independently, mainly through news releases, Linkedin profiles, and other similar articles of information.

Prudential Business Unit -Individual (Insurance, Annuities and Advisors)

The Individual Solutions Group (Insurance, Annuities and Advisors) of Prudential Financial focuses on direct-to-consumer products and services. It provides financial advice and develops, distributes and services annuities, life insurance and other outcome-oriented solutions to consumers. The Individual Solutions Group is headed by CEO Caroline Feeney and presidents of the three units.

  • Prudential Financial Inc. is a big proponent of offering employees "financial wellness" training in order to reduce stress due to personal finances.
  • With the rising burden of student loan debt on the young American workforce, Prudential Financial was one of the first companies to offer new campus hires up to $5,000 in a dedicated lump-sum payment.
