Research Strategy

Based on the request, we first started by looking into companies in the exhibition industry and were able to find information related to the firms in the respective industry. We were able to find all the information on the presented companies except for the direct contact numbers of the respective individuals. We first started to look for the contact numbers of the respective contact person on the company website. The websites did not provide separate contact numbers for the individuals and only provided the general number of the company. Then we looked for an extension for the contact person, but the websites did not include such information.
Then our next strategy was to look into professional networking sites such as Linkedin and Xing for the contact information. We looked into the profiles of each contact person on many platforms and were not able to find a direct contact number for any of the listed contacts. This suggests that they have not publicly shared this information.
Our final strategy was to look into contact provider websites such as Zoominfo and Rocketreach for the contact numbers. Although these websites provided a contact email and number for some of the individuals, there was no information regarding the contact numbers for General Cable and Southwire. Some of the contact numbers given on these websites were the same as the contact number of the respective company. Therefore, we have entered the general contact number of the company since the direct numbers for the individuals were not available.

Research Strategy:

Most of our research for this request was straightforward. However, we were unable to locate the name of the CEO, CMO, or Marketing VP for some of the companies.

Our research for this specific information began by searching through the company website, particularly the About Us section, while also looking for any publicly available financial statements. We believed that we could find the names of the C-suite executives here, but certain laws in Latin America do not require this information to be publicly disclosed. Hence, not all the companies shared this information through their financial statements or website.
Next, we searched for any news releases and official papers discussing the companies, hoping that information regarding the top executives would be mentioned. Unfortunately, this approach did not produce the results we were seeking as there were either no publications available or the names of the executives were not mentioned.
Finally, we switched tactics and searched through each company's social media channels to find links to the founder's or C-level executives personal sites or social media accounts. Still, we were unable to find relevant insights about the founders or C-level executives.

Some Latin American companies in the connected home/smart home industry are Hogar inteligente, JRQSistemas, Innotica Sistemas, Lloyd's, Sinthesi, Automatizate, and Aligroup. Complete details about each company are available within the attached spreadsheet.

  • Aligroup is a distribution company with a portfolio of more than 40 professional residential and commercial audio brands.

Research Strategy

The research team, even after an extensive review of available data, was not able to find the territory in which Automatizate sells its products, and was not able to find the contact information of the VP of Merchandising and Licensing, CEO or CMO of the companies found. To shed light on the steps we took in determining the information was not available, we've detailed our strategies below.

We began the search for selling territories of Automatizate and the contact information of the companies selected by first visiting their websites, in order to find company reports. Our thinking here was that companies provide information inside their financial statements and annual reports about the personnel in charge of reported operations. We hoped to find the C-level executives' names and their marketing strategies which might contain their selling territory. Unfortunately, we found that in LATAM countries laws does not require companies to make their information public and, therefore, were not able to approach the necessary details with this method.

We continued searching for precompiled information about Automatizate by reviewing media sites such as Forbes, Entrepreneur and others. The thinking here was to find articles about the companies found and see if they had any information about the funder, or directive members, or territories. Unfortunately, this provided no insights because although we found some articles related to home automation, those were not focused on LATAM companies. We found articles like "Everything You Need To Set Up DIY Home Automation or "How Smart Homes Became Automated Offices" by Forbes but these types of articles are not in line with the requested details.

Finally, we changed tactics and searched through each company's social media site in order to find posts or publications about where those companies sell or link to funders' or C-level executives' personal sites or social media accounts; we aimed to see if we could track their contact info. Unfortunately, we found no relevant insights about the funders, or C-level executives, nor the territories on which Automatizate sell its products and services.
