YOUR RESEARCH TEAM APPLIED THE FOLLOWING STRATEGY

To determine five additional top brands of Shelf Stable Dessert Manufactures, we began by reviewing industry portals such as News Mill, Kansas City Business Journal, and Food Processing to determine the top manufacturers of food in the United States. Then, we ranked them according to their revenue by using business information found on Hoovers. Even though we found interesting information about the top brands, we were unable to find the email addresses of Bimbo, Flower Foods, and Conagra Brands. First, we reviewed each company's website, but the information was not found. We moved our search to email and phone locator sites such as Hunter, Zoominfo, and Rocket Reach. Second, we reviewed social network sites such as Facebook and LinkedIn for company employees and corporate profile pages with no positive results. Finally, we looked for trade portals such as News Mill, Kansas City Business Journal, and Fox Business for articles, reviews, and press releases for the companies listed in this report. None of the sources already mentioned provided us with the emails of Bimbo, Flower Foods, and Conagra Brands.

Gift Manufacturers Part 2

According to our research, Mud Pie, CSS Industries, Blue Mountain, Ganz, and Dicksons are some additional prominent players in the gift market. All the available information has been entered in the attached spreadsheet.

Research Strategy:

We began by searching through online news sources and media articles in order to find a list of the top gift items manufacturers by revenue. We consulted websites such as Magazine, Read Between The Lines, Hoodline, and Wallpaper and we found several lists of US manufacturers. However, after some subsequent research, we found that the manufacturers listed there were mostly smaller companies or did not actually manufacture gifts.

Next we searched through industry reports such as Market Watch, Market Research Online, IbisWorld, and FirstResearch. We found several reports about the gift shops and card stores industry in the US but both were behind a paywall. We have included both reports in our sources for convenience.

As a last resort, we tried to find the gifts that were most sold in the US and find their manufacturers. Using that approach, we were able to find several companies that manufactured gifts for the US market. We chose those that had a revenue available. However, not all of them actually provided a breakdown of services, so it was impossible to get their market share in the gifts market.

Unfortunately, most of the companies did not mention their marketing or licensing directors. We searched through the company websites and professional social media sites (LinkedIn and ZoomInfo). The email addresses that are presented have been chosen on the basis of their reliability factor provided by the email finder (Hunter.io, Voila Norbert).

SUMMARY

The revenues of the five companies are as follows:

RESEARCH STRATEGY

To provide the top manufacturers of Tabletop, we began our search by reviewing industry reports on the US tabletop manufacturing market. However, we couldn't find any direct data or reports for Tabletop American market. After going through the International Houseware Association (IHA), among others, we found a report for the global top tabletop manufacturers. We checked the companies in this report to determine which one of them is Us-based company and which one of these American companies is a manufacturer. Then, we ranked them according to their revenue information found on Hoovers. Finally, we were able to provide a list of five top tabletop manufacturers in the US.

To search for the names of Marketing or Licensing Directors, as well their email addresses and phone numbers, we searched on company websites, public profiles on sites such as Linkedin. Unfortunately, we were unable to find email information on Linkedin for any of the contacts.

Tabletop Manufacturers Part 1

We have entered the requested details about five of the top tabletop manufacturers in the US into the "Tabletop" tab of the attached spreadsheet. The companies are Lenox, Libbey, Lifetime Brands Inc, Oneida, and Corelle Brands.

US TABLETOP MANUFACTURERS

The revenues of the companies are as follows:

RESEARCH STRATEGY

We started our search for five of the top tabletop manufacturers in the US by reviewing relevant market research reports. We hoped to find the top players in the US tabletop manufacturing market through the reports. But we could not find reports on the US tabletop manufacturing market.
So we expanded our research to look for global tabletop manufacturing market reports. We hoped to find the global top players and check for Us-based companies among them. We found a report on the global housewares (tabletopware) market. Among the top players are six US companies, Lenox, Libbey, Lifetime Brands Inc, Pfaltzgraff, Oneida, and World Kitchen (Corelle Brands).
We checked the website of the International Housewares Association (IHA) which has a list of top tabletop manufacturers to confirm that these companies are indeed manufacturing companies and we found that they are all in the list. We then selected the top five based on revenue.

To search for the names of Marketing or Licensing Directors, as well their email addresses and phone numbers, we started by exploring their websites. We hoped that their corporate websites would provide email and phone information for the listed contacts. While some companies provided biographies for their top executives, they did not provide direct contact information like emails and phone numbers. We only found company phone numbers.
We then looked for each contact on LinkedIn, some people will provide email addresses on LinkedIn, or a link to personal websites, unfortunately none of the contacts provided this information. Finally, we performed a press release search to see if any of the contacts had provided direct contact information in the media.
As we were unable to find any direct contact information, we used Voila Norbert and found all the email addresses but none of the phone numbers were publicly available.

  • Website: https://tenstrawberrystreet.com
  • Brands: Ten Strawberry Street
  • Director(s): N/A
  • Alternate: Allison Dienstag, Marketing Specialist
  • Email: allisond@tenstrawberrystreet.com

RESEARCH STRATEGY:

To find information on additional top manufacturers of glassware in the United States, the research team found information on market reports (e.g., BusinessWire), association websites (e.g., housewares.org) and databases (e.g., Manta and ZoomInfo). After locating the revenue details, we arranged the companies of glassware manufacturing in descending order of revenue. Below are some of the companies with their revenues:
#1. Anchor Hocking Glass Company — $133.4M
#2. AceGlass Inc — $22M
#3. Jeannette Specialty Glass — $19.2M
#4. Duralex USA — $5.2 M
#5. Ten Strawberry Street — $5M
#6. Draka Comteq — $4.2M
#7. Labline — $3M

Locating the names of marketing or licensing directors was a bit more difficult. We first scanned the websites of the companies and used professional sites like LinkedIn for assistance. However, some companies did not have Marketing or Licensing Directors; as well some directors, when they were found, did not share contact details. The research team used tools available at websites like Hunter.io to get missing details. Still, some of our efforts were not fruitful despite extensive strategies which include looking for bios/staff data on the company websites and within media interviews, combing through LinkedIn to locate these roles, and revisiting company databases like ZoomInfo, and email finder tools like RocketReach to see if any of these tools provided contact details and names of executives. This strategy was not fruitful as the complete details about the professionals listed were behind paywalls. Since the contact number of the Marketing Directors of the manufacturing companies were not available, we provided the company office contact details as proxies. Also, for companies that did not have Marketing Directors we provided information about the marketing role within the company.

Gifts Manufacturers Part 1 (A)

While there is no publicly available information to exactly list the top gift manufacturers in the United States by market share, it is possible to note that the most likely key players in the industry are Party City, The Walt Disney Company, American Greetings Corporation, Hallmark Cards, and Schurman Retail Group (aka Papyrus). Below is an outline of the research strategies used to better understand why the information requested is publicly unavailable, as well as a listing of the findings. Complete details are provided in the attached spreadsheet

Top Gift Item Manufacturers (unranked)

  • 1. Party City manufactures party favors and gifts such as blowouts, noisemakers, party hats, balls, etc.
  • 4. Hallmark Cards sells many branded products like itty bittys®, Melissa & Doug, Vera Bradley and Yankee Candle.®
  • 5. Schurman Retail Group (aka Papyrus) manufactures gifts such as office gifts, candles, books, wedding gifts, and calendars.

Research Strategy

After an extensive search, the research team was unable to find the exact top five manufacturers of gift items in the United States. To find the required information and any alternative helpful information, we applied the following strategies:

(1) We searched for preexisting but listed manufacturers of gift items in the United States, ranked by revenue. We searched online news sources, and media articles, and other websites, to find any curated list of gift items manufacturers. After searching websites like Giftshop Magazine, Read Between The Lines, Hoodline, Wallpaper, etc., we found no such lists. We did find a list of USA-only manufacturers from Giftwholesale.com, however, the source was from 2012 (which we found by checking the webpage's source code) and the manufacturers listed were not supported by revenue and were small (which we found by manually checking each company's size and revenue). We also found a similar list on USA Made Products website, which also only included small manufacturers. There was another list from The American List, which featured some USA-only manufacturers of gift items. However, after close analysis, we found that none of them qualified as either a gift item manufacturer or a large company with large revenues.

(2) During our research, we found a list of gift items made only in the United States. We tried to backtrack their manufacturers and find their company size and revenue. However, most of the items listed were not considered gift items. When we backtracked their manufacturers, we found them to be either merely vendors or small manufacturers. For example, There were some items in the list, branded with Jacob Bromwell trademark. When we researched the company, we found it to be related to household goods and not gift items. During our search, we also found that manufacturers of Gift Items also do wholesale or retail selling of such items. Therefore, finding key leaders in the Gift Shop and Card Store industry was also close enough to finding key leaders in the manufacturing industry. Our further research assumed that the Gift Shop and Card store industry is a representative of the Gift Item Manufacturing industry in the United States.

(3) The research team also searched market research databases to determine the largest key players by revenue. We searched websites like Market Watch, Market Research Online, IbisWorld, FirstResearch, etc. We couldn't find any market research reports on Gift Item manufacturing industry, but there were a couple of reports for Gift Shops & Card Stores Industry in the United States. We found a few paywalled reports that provided names of key leaders in this market. They were from IBISWorld and First Research. The key leaders mentioned by the IBISWorld report were Party City Holdings Inc., The Walt Disney Company and American Greetings Corporation LLC. The key leaders listed by First Research were Disney Stores (a division of The Walt Disney Company), Hallmark, Schurman Retail Group (aka Papyrus), and Spencer's. We found that these retailers were indeed the manufacturers of most/all the items they sold. Some items they sold, were also in collaboration with other brands. Also, many items that these companies manufactured or sold had no specific brand name (as it is usually the parent company name that goes with the product). Due to this conflict of including names of other brands in the products tab, we have used general types of products that they manufacture and sell.

MARKET SHARES
In order to find the market shares of each manufacturer listed above, we searched their annual reports but found that not all companies listed the gifts revenues. For instance, Disney's first-quarter revenue for 2019, in the segment 'Parks, Experiences & Consumer Products' was $6.824 million but there was no provision for how much of that was from gift manufacturing. Therefore, we failed to find the market share of these key leaders reported by market reports.

The team attempted an alternate strategy of attempting to stratify the top gift manufacturers by popularity. For this, we searched news media, industry reports, surveys/polls, etc. (websites like PR Newswire, Deloitte, FirstData, NGC Group, Wall Street Journal, etc.) But there were no details we could identify. The lack of definitive and expansive information in this industry might be due to the absence of research and attention focused on this particular industry.

CONTACT DETAILS
Please note that the team also spent time looking to uncover the names of Marketing/Licensing Directors of The Walt Disney Company, American Greetings Corporation LLC, and Schurman Retail Group (SRG). We also failed to find the contact information of Marketing Director of Hall Mark, Monic J. Houpe. We searched the company websites, professional social media sites (LinkedIn and ZoomInfo) and contact finding services like RocketReach, Hunter.io, and Signal Hire.
