Research Strategy

Besides his LinkedIn profile, we were unable to find any social media accounts for Florian Arndt. No posts on Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram tag him. We searched the official Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram profiles of Lamont Capital and tried to locate Arndt but this strategy was not fruitful. We also looked for his profile using the in-built search filters on these social media sites but weren't successful. Although there were numerous profiles of people named Florian Arndt, there was no profile that matched the information we already had on Arndt. A general web scan also didn't yield any results.

Apart from LinkedIn listing Arndt's interests as Knighthead Capital Management, Bain Capital, and WHU, after an extensive search of reputed news and media sources including German-based DW, The Local, Focus, Bild, and other sources such as Forbes, CNBC, QSR Magazine, Business Insider, and Bloomberg among others, we were unable to find any interviews or articles that provided insights into Arndt’s hobbies, interests, where grew up, and his family. We also scanned Lamont Capital's website for any details on the same but were only able to find details on his professional history and educational background. We also searched for the information on his only available social media account, LinkedIn, but the information is not there.

  • He completed a Master of Business Administration from the Dartmouth Tuck School of Business.

Research Strategy:

Despite an extensive review of online information about Ulrich Biffar, the research team was not able to provide in-depth details like his personal background, hobbies, and interests. We made the determination that the data were not available after a detailed crawl through the data. To better understand our approach, we've detailed our strategies below.

Our first strategy was to search for information on the Lamont Capital website. While we were able to find information about Biffar's education and work profile, there was no information about his family, hobbies/interests, awards won, works published or links to social media profiles like LinkedIn, Xing, etc. Then, the research team searched for information on social media for Ulrich Biffar. We combed through sites like LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, and Xing, among others, to find the required information. However, this strategy was not fruitful as there were no profiles found of Ulrich Biffar. Next, we looked for information in articles and media publications on sites like Private Equity News and SGB Media for interviews or commentary about Biffar. However, the only press information about him we found was focused on him joining Lamont Capital after working in Bain Capital. As a last resort, we looked for information on database sites that publish information about business professionals like Bloomberg and Genios. While there was some education and professional background information about Biffar on Bloomberg, other details were very minimal.
