Research Strategy

To fulfill this request, we began our research by identifying the website for the listed companies. To ensure we had the right website for the company's listed in rows 8-11, we made use of the Sitecore Symposium 2019 sponsors list which had direct links to each of the company's website. We made use of the company websites and LinkedIn pages to retrieve almost all the required information including the number of offices, headquarters, number of employees, key clients, key focus areas, and founding year. We also searched for information on the CEO, principal, head of partnership, and head of business development, using the website and LinkedIn pages. Our research revealed that not all the companies covered in this research had people in all four job positions. In this case, we entered information on people with similar job titles where available.

At the end of our research, we were unable to identify the annual revenue information for the company Alpha Solutions listed in row 9, even after adopting different strategies in an attempt to retrieve the information. We began by scanning through the company website for any annual reports/performance statements but quickly realized that this did not exist. Next, we searched through third-party business information websites such as Crunchbase and Hoovers, but this too failed to return results. As a last resort, we searched through notable business information websites such as CNBC and Business Insider, for any news stories with information on the financial performance of the company. However, this too did not return any result, leading to the assumption that the information has not been made public, at the time of our research. We have provided all other required information in the attached project spreadsheet.

In cases where the names and/or LinkedIn profiles of the CEO, Principal, Head of Partnership, and/or Head of Business Development could not be found, the appropriate cells have been marked N/A. In attempting to find this information, we turned first to the company websites in hopes that a leadership, about, or contact page might have the required information. Failing this, we next turned to LinkedIn's advanced search platform. In both cases, we searched both for the exact job title and equivalent ones, such as Director of Business Development in place of Head of Business Development.

  • Brimit was founded in 2009 and is headquartered in Minsk, Minsk Province.
  • Connective DX was founded in 1997, and they currently have two offices. Their headquarter is in Portland, OR.

Research Strategy

In cases where the names and LinkedIn profiles of the Principal, Head of Partnership, and Head of Business Development could not be found, the individual cells have been marked N/A. We could not locate the CEOs of American Eagle, Connective DX, and Brimit. But, we found the presidents of American Eagle and Connective DX who are Michael Svanascini and Paul Williams, respectively. For Brimit, we found the Co-founder and managing director, who is Alexei Vershalovich.

To provide the annual revenue for each company, we first searched for their annual report. Unfortunately, we could not locate any yearly report for the listed companies. Next, we searched through notable business information websites like PR Newswire, Business Insider, and CNBC. We were looking for any news or publication with information on the financial performance of the companies. However, this strategy did not yield the required results. Lastly, we resorted to third party business information websites like Crunchbase, Glassdoor, ZoomInfo, and Hoovers. We were fortunate to find the estimated annual revenue for each company, which we have filled in the respective cells of the attached spreadsheet.

We were able to find all but one of the requested data points about GPI, Just After Midnight, Mirum, and NishTech. The one data point we couldn't find was GPI's key clients (explained in Research Strategy section below). All the requested information that we were able to find about these companies is included in the attached spreadsheet.

Company Biographies (Rows 24-27)

1. GPI

  • This link is to GPI's website.
  • The company was founded in 2008.

2. Just After Midnight

  • This link is to Just After Midnight's website.
  • The company was founded in 2015.

3. Mirum

  • This link is to Mirum's website.
  • The company was founded in 2015.

4. NishTech

  • This link is to NishTech's website.
  • The company was founded in 2006.

Research Strategy

The only data point we couldn't find was GPI's key clients. We looked for that information by using three research methods. First, we checked the company's website because companies often list key clients therein. Though GPI listed properties that it's selling on the website, clients weren't listed. Second, we looked for any articles that had been published about work the company has done, such as announcing projects completed for clients. The only information we found in those articles pertained to properties that the company had sold, but didn't name clients. Examples of sources that published articles about the company were LA Business Journal and Globe Street. As a third research method, we checked business databases to see if clients were listed therein. The databases we looked at were RocketReach, Crunchbase, and Hoovers. However, client information wasn't available there either. With regard to the job positions and the people who hold those titles for all the companies, we looked for that information on both the company websites and Linkedin pages. Accordingly, the cells marked N/A in the spreadsheet are ones for which that information wasn't available via either of those two sources.
