Potential Investor List

We have identified 10 investors that have invested at least twice in the Municipal/Cities space or in the "Social Impact" space. Investor names, along with other requested details are presented in the attached spreadsheet. All identified funds have their headquarters in the San Francisco Bay Area except FirstMark, which is located in the Greater New York Area.

Methodology

To identify the 10 investors we have consulted Crunchbase's company funding database. Using filters for the number of lead investors and for company categories like Government, CivTech, EdTech, Social Entrepreneurship, Humanitarian, and GovTech we were able to narrow down the list of potential investors. We then checked the page of each company identified by filtering the database to see whether Crunchbase listed specific partners that invested in the company. This had to be done manually because no filters exist for that option.

We have tried to present a mix of the two requested spaces. However, due to popularity, the list of companies invested is skewed towards those in the technology sector, with EdTech and GovTech companies attracting the most attention.

If we can specify the industries to be more similar to categories defined by Crunchbase and if we exclude the requirement of specific partners investing in the company (partners are often not listed on Crunchbase), it would probably be possible to find many more potential investors using this approach.
