Please provide a competitive analysis of the top 4 companies in the restaurant delivery/logistics space. I'm working with a company named Olo (a restaurants logistics/delivery company) on a branding exercise and we'd like to better understand the competition. DO NOT INCLUDE OLO in your comparison.
Hi! Thanks for letting Wonder help put together a competitive analysis of the top companies in the restaurant delivery space. I've analyzed Delivery Hero, GrubHub, DoorDash, and Munchery for their target markets, key product offerings, and branding strategies. That info is compiled into this spreadsheet. Read on for some additional notes!
OVERVIEW
I didn't include Olo in my analysis, but I did use their Owler page to find their top competitors based on similarity of product offerings, markets, and revenue. That gave me a list of four companies: Delivery Hero, GrubHub, DoorDash, and Munchery. I used those companies' websites, Owler pages, and media mentions to get an idea of their offerings, markets, and branding strategies and added that information to the spreadsheet.
One additional note: it's not a competitor yet, but Facebook is testing a food delivery feature. It's "currently only available to a select number of users in the US" and doesn't always work that well, but it could be something to keep an eye on.
CONCLUSION
Olo's top competitors include Delivery Hero, GrubHub, DoorDash, and Munchery. These companies operate online ordering and delivery services in millions of restaurants around the world, with a variety of additional services and branding strategies to differentiate themselves.
