Pay Rate Clarification- Digital/Creative Producer

Based on information provided by PayScale, which has the biggest database of salary profiles in the world, junior-level, mid-level, and senior-level digital producers in Seattle have an average pay rate or annual salary of $55,028, $65,014, and $75,000, respectively. METHODOLOGY

In answering this request, I assumed that, by pay rate, you mean the annual salary. Since there is no Digital/Creative Producer or Project Manager in Design listed in the Bureau of Labor Statistics' Occupational Outlook Handbook, I looked for salary databases to find your requested data. I saw that PayScale, Paysa, Comparably, Glassdoor, and Indeed all offer salary information, so I used these sites to collect data. Of these five databases, however, PayScale and Paysa proved the most helpful as they both show how many profiles were used in determining the average salary. PayScale even shows when the average salary was last updated. You will find that most of my findings below are based on information from these two sites. I gave more weight to PayScale's data since it is a leader in the compensation industry and it has the "largest real-time database of salary profiles" in the world.

During my research, I observed that of the three job titles provided, the title "Digital Producer" is the most common. Since my searches for the salaries of creative producers and project managers in design yielded very limited and unreliable information, I decided to focus on the "Digital Producer" title.

While I understand that, if possible, you want data specific to the digital marketing space, I was unable to find any salary database that allows filtering of salary information by industry.

For your convenience, I entered all the relevant salary information I have gathered and all the sources I have used in the attached spreadsheet. Screenshots, on the other hand, can be seen in the attached document. They were taken because the displayed values can change.

An overview of our findings and methodology is provided below.

METHODOLOGY

While the Bureau of Labor Statistics does not provide data on Visual Designers, they do offer statistics on Graphic Designers who create visual concepts. Since this falls outside of the requested data, we instead relied on databases like Glassdoor, PayScale, Paysa, and Comparably to find the requested average pay rates. By pay rates, it is assumed that the intention is to focus on the average salaries for each of the requested cities. At times, some databases provided more details than others. However, by featuring pay rates from each site we were able to provide a more thorough overview of the average salaries for this profession in each city.

After an extensive search through various databases, the bulk of the available information was presented for Visual Designers as a whole. For the majority of the databases, it was not possible to filter the results by industry. With this being the case, we were unable to focus our pay rate search specifically on Visual Designers within the digital marketing space. The only exception to this was Glassdoor that provided industry averages for marketing and advertising as opposed to digital marketing. However, its noted that Glassdoor's marketing information was based on limited reports and therefore may not be entirely accurate.
