Research reveals that there no reports that have been published in the last month on the listed topics of interest by Deloitte, McKinsey, Advisory Board, Bain, Blue Health Intelligence, Gartner, Scottsdale Institute, and Pharmacy Purchasing and Products. However, some reports addressed some of the topics, but they were published between 2014 to 2019.

After an exhaustive search, we were unable to find reports that have been published in the last month on the required topics of interest by Deloitte, McKinsey, Advisory Board, Bain, Blue Health Intelligence, Gartner, Scottsdale Institute, and Pharmacy Purchasing and Products. The research is confined to specific criteria from a limited group of consulting services. Therefore, no creative research strategies are applicable outside of direct research. However, we located some relevant reports that were published between 2014 to 2019, which we have provided as useful findings above. Report by Advisory Board on drug diversion and 340B Program require a subscription to be accessed. The two reports were published in 2018 and 2019, respectively.

In the past month, Parata Systems announced the launch of their new pouch packager known as PASS 36, Swisslog is planning to launch its Meds to Beds program, and Becton Dickson announced the listing of its BD Kiestra™ ReadA with the US Food and Drug Administration. Becton Dickson recalled its Alaris infusion pumps that were reported to have malfunctioned and warned its customers in Europe on issues with their Alaris extension sets

PASS 36 allows pharmacies that are ready to start their own adherence packaging program to handle smaller volumes while it offers benefits to their patients and businesses.

Swisslog Healthcare Continues Realization of Medication Management Strategy in 2020

"The program includes secure, autonomous robotic delivery of prescribed medication and concierge-style medication reconciliation and consulting to expand the capacity of the retail pharmacy. Swisslog Healthcare brings its Delivery Manager chain-of-custody software together with telepharmacy services and software from PipelineRx along with robotic technology from Savioke to execute the unique program. After an exhaustive search, we were only able to find five news articles/press releases in the past month regarding automation or software for medication management in pharmacies of Becton Dickinson, Parata Systems, and Swisslog. We combed through each company's website, especially the news and press release section. We were able to find some relevant news articles or press releases on topics of automation or software for medication management for pharmacies in the past month for Becton Dickinson and Parata Systems. For Swisslog, their recent post is about not participating in the LogiMAT on March 10-12 2020. The most recent news article for Arxium, which is about its RIVA systems, was in December 2019.
We further searched for news articles, press releases, or presentations on third party sources like Crunchbase. We were able to find news articles and press releases in the past month for Becton Dickinson, which we have provided in our findings above. For Parata Systems, their latest news article on Crunchbase on the topic of automation for medication management for pharmacies was in June 2019, for Swisslog there was one news article which has been provided in our findings above, while Arxium has no recent news on its Crunchbase profile.
We even searched through their social media platforms like Twitter, Facebook, and Linkedin for any link to presentations, news articles, or press releases on the required topics in the past month, but our search was unfruitful.

However, some news articles and press releases on solutions for clinicians were located during the search, and they have been provided below.

  • Beth McCauley, a clinical terminologist at Cerner and the VP of Cerner Intelligence, Dr. Tanuj Gupta, shared insights on how technology could be used to support clinically driven CDI. Some of the principles they shared include; ensuring that clinicians make decisions, using AI technology for CDI that support clinical validation, balancing standardization with customization, using the silent mode to test run, and avoiding back box solutions.

We combed through each company's website, especially the news and press release sections. Still, we found no articles or presentations on the topics of automation or software for medication management for pharmacies. We also searched for articles, presentations, and press releases on third party sources like Crunchbase. However, their Crunchbase profiles had no articles, press releases, or presentations on the subject matter. Our attempt to also expand our research scope to include articles, press releases, and presentations that were published more than one month ago was also unfruitful.
We further combed through their social media profiles like Twitter, Facebook, and LinkedIn for any link to presentations, news articles, or press releases on topics of automation or software for medication management for pharmacies in the past month, but our search was unfruitful.
