Offsite Construction Leading Companies - Part One

Seven leading companies in off-site construction for contractors, fabricators, material suppliers, and designers are Bechtel, AECOM, ABC Supply, Kiewit, Builder's FirstSource, CB&I, and Tutor Perini. Additional details for each company can be found in rows 3-9 of the attached spreadsheet. To find these companies we scoured industry reports for leading companies on sites like CB Insights, Construction Dive and MDM.

Since a lot of these companies are private, we determined top by high rankings across multiple sources in conjunction with estimated revenues over $1 billion. Also due to the companies being private, the email address was not publicly available for Bechtel, Kiewit, or CB&I through company profiles, industry directories, social media, or the company website. We, therefore, provided the email address for HR or comparable personnel.

Offsite Construction Leading Companies - Part Two

Seven leading offsite construction companies in the U.S. are Katerra, Plant Prefab, Island Exterior Fabricators, Skender, Guerdon Modular Buildings, Champion Home Builders, and Z Modular. The requested information about the leading offsite construction companies is included in the attached spreadsheet. Below are the explanations of why we determined these companies to be leading offsite construction companies in the U.S.

METHODOLOGY

The lone data point we couldn't find was a contact email for Skender. We first looked for that information directly on the company's contact us webpage, but only an address and phone number (which we included instead) was listed. We also looked at articles to see if any had included a contact email address therein, but the only results we found were articles about the company without mention of an email. As a third strategy, we also looked at email generator sites such as Rocket Reach to see if they provided any reliable contact email address information, but the only results we saw were guesses of potential email formats for the company which we didn't think were reliable.

SEVEN LEADING OFFSITE CONSTRUCTION COMPANIES IN THE U.S.

1. KATERRA

Katerra is a leading company because it has substantial revenue, which for 2019, is on track to potentially exceed $2 billion.

2. SKENDER

Skender is a leading company because it has substantial revenue, which in 2017 was $400 million.

3. PLANT PREFAB

Plant Prefab is a leading company because it is well-known, as is demonstrated by the fact that ecommerce giant Amazon recently invested in it and the company has received construction industry media attention.

4. ISLAND EXTERIOR FABRICATORS

Island Exterior Fabricators is a leading company because it has substantial revenue, which is estimated at $33.4 million.

5. GUERDON MODULAR BUILDINGS

Guerdon Modular Buildings is a leading company because it's well-known due to its substantial number of projects (demonstrated by the 30 projects for just California) and iconic clients such as Marriott.

6. CHAMPION HOME BUILDERS/skyline corporation

In 2018, Champion Home Builders merged with Skyline Corporation. However, Champion Home Builders continues to operate with its own brand name. As such, Champion Home Builders is a leading company because its combined revenue with Skyline is more than $1 billion.

7. Z MODULAR

Z Modular is a leading company it's well-known due to its parent company's reputation (Zekelman Industries) as "the largest independent producer of steel pipe and tubing" and thus its inherited standing within the industry.

Offsite Construction Leading Companies - Part Three

Seven leading offsite construction companies in the U.S. are Blu Homes, Project Frog, Prescient, FullStack Modular, Emagispace, Cover Technologies, and Blokable. The requested information about these companies is provided in the attached spreadsheet.

METHODOLOGY

The data point we couldn't find was an email id for Blu Homes, Project Frog, and Prescient. We first looked for that information directly on the company's contact us web page, but only an address and phone number (which we included) was listed. We also looked for the email id of the key executives on LinkedIn but this research strategy also failed. As a third strategy, we also looked at email generator sites such as Rocket Reach, Hunter, Norbert to see if they provided any reliable contact email address information, but the only results we saw were guesses of potential email formats for the company which we didn't think were reliable. In order to check if the email provided by these email generator sites were authentic, we used Email Checker, Never Bounce and these tools confirmed that the email id provided by Rocket Reach, Hunter, Norbert were mere guesses and not the correct email id.
