What is Naviance's senior management saying about company priorities, opportunities for growth, and new markets for expansion? Please examine recent media coverage, earnings call transcripts, and any other statements available online.

Hello! Thanks for your question about Naviance's senior management and their company priorities, opportunities for growth, and new market expansion. The short answer is that Naviance's priorities are helping students understand their strengths and interests and connecting that to post-secondary goals, and based on data from the past year there are opportunities for the company to continue growing and to expand into new markets. Below you will find a deep dive of my findings.

METHEDOLOGY
Naviance's co-founders Stephen Smith and Shaun Fanning do not talk about Naviance very often in media. Since Naviance is a product of Hobsons, I mostly focused on Hobsons senior management and articles/press releases from Hobsons website.

COMPANY PRIORITIES
Naviance's website describes their goal as "helps districts and schools align student strengths and interests to post secondary goals, improving student outcomes and connecting learning to life." This can be confirmed by Hobsons CEO Katie Cassino, after winning the 2017 SIIA CODiE Award for Naviance she talks about the Naviance team and their innovation and drive to create the best tools to help students "prepare for and achieve their post-secondary goals."

OPPORTUNITIES FOR GROWTH
Within the last year and a half Naviance has added two more functions into their system to better help high school counselors connect with colleges. In early 2017, Hobsons acquired RepVisit, a tool that can be used by high school counselors to schedule and contact colleges for visits. Erica White, the creator of RepVisit, will be joining the Hobsons team as a Product Manager and looks forward to help improve RepVisits and "to continue helping students discover their best-fit educational opportunities." Hobsons also plans to integrate Intersect into their Naviance system, which better allows high school counselors to connect to each other and to college recruits.
Hobsons is also starting to expand their office in Kuala Lumpur; in November 2017 Andy Nichol, the regional manager, stated that they were looking to employ around 50 more people within the next year and growing their business in that area.
Based on this information Naviance should continue to grow.

NEW MARKETS FOR EXPANSION
When trying to help students with college and schooling there isn't a lot of new markets they can expand into but in April 2016 they added on an elementary school tool to help students figure out their interests and how school can help them progress later in life. Stephen Smith, co-founder of Naviance, talks about how this add-on is about "nurturing and building aspirations" for children and helping all students "develop the skills they need to be successful in school and in life." With this information we can see that Naviance has been able to find a new market they can expand their interests to.

CONCLUSION
In conclusion, Naviance's priorities are helping students achieve their post-secondary goals but connecting it to their strengths and interests, and based on data from the past year there are opportunities for the company to continue growing and to expand into new markets.
