Screenshots of the market cap data have been entered into the attached google doc as quoted by Macotrends.

  • The highest number of megawatts installed occurred in Q2 of 2015 at 65.5.
  • The lowest number of megawatts installed occurred in Q1 of 2018 at 40.4.
  • The highest market cap occurred in Q1 of 2015 at $1.59 billion.
  • The lowest market cap occurred in Q1 of 2016 at $27 million.

Sunrun Solar has been a publicly traded company since 2015. The number of megawatts deployed or installed for each quarter beginning in 2015 and the market cap on the day of the earnings call for each quarter has been entered into the attached spreadsheet. Screenshots of the market cap data have been entered into the attached google doc as quoted by Macotrends. Quarterly earnings call transcripts were not published either on the company website on SeekingAlpha for 2014-2015. For these quarters, megawatt data was taken from the quarterly review.

  • The highest number of megawatts deployed was in Q3 of 2019 at 107.
  • The lowest number of megawatts deployed was in Q2 of 2015 at 42.4.
  • The highest market cap was in Q2 of 2019 at $2.35 billion.
  • The lowest market cap was in Q3 of 2015 at $36 million.

SolarCity MegaWatts and Market Cap

The number of megawatts deployed by SolarCity for quarter one 2014 through quarter 2016 have been entered into the attached spreadsheet. In addition, the market caps for each quarter have been calculated and entered into the spreadsheet. Since market cap data is no longer published for SolarCity, the market cap for each quarter was calculated using the outstanding shares reported in the company's 10-Q and 10-K SEC filings multiplied by the historical stock price data reported by Investing.com. The 10-Q filings report outstanding shares as of the end of the quarter while the 10-K filings report outstanding shares at the time of filing. Therefore, the market cap for Q4 will be closer to the actual date of the earnings call transcript release. The historical stock price data for 2012-2016 has been downloaded for easier viewing.

  • The Q1 earnings call transcript was released on May 8, 2014. The number of shares outstanding as of April 30, 2014, was 92,100,623 at a value of $53.25 per share. This brings the market cap to $4.9 billion.

In addition, the market caps for each quarter have been calculated and entered into the spreadsheet. Since market cap data is no longer published for SolarCity, the market cap for each quarter was calculated using the outstanding shares reported in the company's 10-Q and 10-K SEC filings multiplied by the historical stock price data reported by Investing.com. The 10-Q filings report outstanding shares as of the end of the quarter while the 10-K filings report outstanding shares at the time of filing. Therefore, the market cap for Q4 will be closer to the actual date of the earnings call transcript release. The historical stock price data for 2012-2016 has been downloaded for easier viewing.
