The Big Mac Fashion Line

  • McDonald’s launched a Big Mac fashion line in Sweden in 2015 during the McWalk Fashion Show in Stockholm. It was part of McDonald’s 24-hour “imlovinit24” global campaign.
  • The Big Mac fashion line was McDonald’s first official clothing line.
  • The products were made available online through the Big Mac shop.
  • The collection was initially designed to sponsor the Swedish Alpine and Cross Country ski team.
  • However, it became so popular that the items sold out quickly.

The Big Mac Index

  • The Big Mac became so influential that it was adopted by The Economist as an important economic indicator.

The Big Mac Jingle

  • In 1974, McDonald’s introduced the Big Mac jingle: “Two all beef patties, special sauce, lettuce, cheese, pickles, onions, on a sesame-seed bun.”
  • The jingle was spirit-lifting at a time of high gas prices, rampant inflation, and Richard Nixon’s unpopular presidency.
  • The original jingle ran only for a year and a half. However, the phrase has been adapted through the years and used for different campaigns for Big Mac.

New Big Mac Sizes
