RESEARCH STRATEGY

To determine if there are any ethical concerns to potentially working with Max Crespo, we looked into his life history, i.e., his education, professional and business life, and his social life. We were specifically looking for any scandals or adverse reporting involving Max Crespo. First, we looked for any news concerning Crespo and discovered that there was hardly any report in the public domain. We only found two articles that had news information for Crespo. However, none of them provided any information that may raise work ethics concerns with Max Crespo.
Next, we searched for any reports regarding his social life and found some information on his social media accounts. On his Twitter account, Max mainly comments on the politics of the day as well as current affairs. LinkedIn mainly highlighted his professional life, with only a mention of the University of Lexington Avenue in his educational profile, and nothing more was mentioned about his education. Professionally, Max is the founder of MOVE Systems and Neapolitan Express. There was hardly any mention of his social life -marriage, entertainment, hobbies, e.t.c.
Furthermore, we went deeper to search for information about Max Crespo's business installations and business associates if any. We visited the websites of Neapolitan Express and MOVE Systems, looking specifically for press releases from the two companies. Neapolitan Express' press release section mainly concentrated on mentions of the company by leading news agencies like The Wall Street Journal and New York Magazine. All the news articles listed on the website did not paint any negativity towards the company or founder. Likewise, MOVING Systems did not also have any news that depicted the company or its founders in a bad light.
According to a report, Crespo has several restaurants and nightclubs in New York City including Pangea Lounge, Ski Bar, Quo Nightclub, Retox Rock Bar, REHAB. We searched for news about each of these restaurants and nightclubs to see if they are engaged in any activities that may have ethical concerns to potentially working with their founder. We then visited the websites of the respective restaurants and nightclubs as well as the mainstream media. In both cases, we did not get any scandal or lousy report involving the companies or their founder. The report mentioned earlier also mentioned companies that Max has partnered with, including Clean Energy Fuels and Nathan’s Famous Hot Dogs. We also searched for scandalous reports regarding these companies and how the same may raise ethical concerns to potentially working with Max Crespo, but did not find anything of the sort. Some people that Crespo has worked with include Mayor Mike Bloomberg and T. Boone Pickens. We went on to search for any business dealings involving the two and Max Crespo, and which could raise ethical concerns to potentially working with him, but did not find any. We did not go into the details of what Bloomberg and Pickens do away from Crespo because we assumed that might not raise any ethical concerns to potentially working with Max Crespo since it does not involve him.
