For its CEO's contact information, we initially checked the company website, which usually lists c-level executive profile details of a company. However, this approach did not yield any details on the CEO. We then searched through its social media profiles for its CEO, as emails are usually mentioned on the social media profiles. Though we found a Facebook profile, contact information was not mentioned. We then searched through email locator databases such as Rocket Reach and Hunter.io, but this approach also did not lead to any results. Hence, we listed the company's contact details for CEO Oliver Sonntag.

Also, we did not find any other c-level executives listed on the company's website. The reason for this could be that it is a jointly owned private company and is not obligated to publicly disclose the members of its core team. In most of the press releases we came across, it was mentioned that the company re-organized their corporate structure in early 2018, and we assumed that other c-level executive positions may not exist in the current hierarchy. We reviewed the company's LinkedIn profile, which only listed four employees and none were c-level executives. Therefor, we concluded that the company only has a CEO as a c-level executive.

We decided to list other individuals holding high level positions in the company such as chairman and the Board of Directors' representative as additional findings.

We redirected our search to networking and social media platforms including LinkedIn, Twitter, and Facebook and were able to find the Chief Science Officer and acting team leader's LinkedIn profile, along with the company's LinkedIn page that was relatively inactive, having only 5 followers. Email and phone finder tools such as Email Hunter, Anymail Finder, and Skrapp were then used in an attempt to find the CEO's email address or phone number, but this did not yield any results.

Finally, we searched through relevant industry resources such as Coatings World, Science Bio, and Solve, along with market news channels in the public domain which provided some more detailed information on the company's technology innovation, award nominations, and a mention of its team members. To obtain information on 3 leading additional startups operating in the coatings industry, we searched through reputable coatings' industry news resources such as Paints and Coatings Industry (PCI) Magazine, Coatings Tech, Coatings World Magazine, etc for a compiled list of top innovative startups within the industry. We also searched through top global paint and coating companies such as AkzoNobel, Basf Coatings, PPG Industries, etc for awards, seed grants or business mentorships extended to potential innovative startups within the industry. We found AkzoNobel's list of 21 startups shortlisted for their Lets Paint The World award. We also found a list of top nano-coating startups from Tracxn, the largest tracker of innovative companies database. We excluded those that had already been identified in the previous list and selected 3 additional companies based on their funding rounds, one from each category, comprising seed funding, series A and series D.
To obtain information on the CEO's contacts, we first searched through the companies' websites with the hope of finding their email addresses or phone numbers but this did not yield any results.
We then searched through their respective social media profiles including LinkedIn and Twitter but this too did not yield any results.
