Japanese Railway Digital Experiences
Japanese railway companies such as JR East are providing various digital experiences to their passengers in the form of apps, free public wireless LAN, e-payment systems, online reservations, and other digital offerings. JR East railway apps already attained success with 1.6 million downloads as of Feb. 2016. JR East's Suica card issuance already reached 60.77 million last July 2016.
