Intrapreneur Diagnostic for individuals - I am looking for a tool/questionnaire/survey that assesses the characteristics of intrapreneurs and if possible benchmarks them against a 'good' criteria. These corporate entrepreneurs will have certain characteristics that will help them be identified within a larger organisation. I am hoping there is a research study done on this with a publicly available assessment tool that I can use

Hello and thank you for your request in regards to tools, questionnaires, or surveys that assess the characteristics of intrapreneurs as well as benchmarks them against a criteria. In short, after extensive search, I was unable to find studies or scholarly articles that specifically reference these tools. However, I was able to find some tools that came up in my research which are the Social Intrapreneur Profile's scorecard, Collective Campus's guide, E-Scan's Intrapreneur Scan, as well as a free basic Virgin quiz questionnaire.

METHODOLOGY
I have ensured to limit my research to recent and reputable sources for the most up-to-date information. These sources include Investopedia, Deloitte Reports, and Corporate Entrepreneurs. Following an extensive search, I have determined that the publicly available information on identifying intrapreneurs is generally available in the form of articles rather than tools. Additionally, the majority of available research is focused on their characteristics as well as how an organization can form a friendly environment for them to prosper in. There were not any publicly available studies or scholarly articles specifying these tools.

OVERVIEW
An intrapreneur is an entrepreneur within a larger firm that are generally tasked to work on specific ideas or projects within a company with the company's resources to use. The word describes a people-centred approach to develop company solutions in-house. These intrapreneurs are not created but already exist and need to be recognized and found. One study shows that over 20% of employees exhibit some intrapreneurial traits.

This group of individuals do not necessarily fall under one category. Instead, they tend to be diverse while showing similar entrepreneurial characteristics that include being a go-getter and highly motivated, the ability to make decisions under pressure and uncertainty, as well as a strong sense of confidence. Individuals within this group also show strong networking and problem-solving skills, flexibility, and persistence in achieving their visions. Intrapreneurs also have a high risk tolerance and tend to be very proactive, while also having a strong bond to their organization.

Looking at one of Europe's largest telco companies, Deutsche Telekom AG, they have an intrapreneurship program called UQBATE that allows employees with intrapreneurial traits to innovate. It begins with a bootcamp lasting week, followed by having teams formed where ideas are discussed. After which, the idea is developed into a business model and evaluated. Since the program's beginning, it has evaluated over 400 ideas with more than 600 employees. Out of which, at least 7 projects are being actively developed.

TOOLS & HELPFUL SOURCES
One tool for self-assessment and identification of intrapreneurs is the Social Intrapreneur Profile that can help organizations in identifying talents, building teams, and measuring competencies. Product pricing can be determined by contacting the company through this form. It also has an "Intrapreneur Scorecard" that provides self-assessment of intrapreneurial capabilities, where traits can be determined to be that of intrapreneurial or traditional leaders; this costs $124.99 per person. Alternatively, the Intrapreneur Scorecard Package costs $245, which includes a personalized two-page summary of the results, a 30 minute review and discussion session, a copy of "Acceleration: Changing the Speed of Growth", as well as credit towards buying the full assessment.

There are also some basic quizzes out there that are available for free to help determine intrapreneurs. One example is this quiz created by Virgin. Some of the interesting points made in this quiz include the assumption that intrapreneurs do not wish to take financial risks and prefer to work in teams instead of leading.

Collective Campus also has a step-by-step guide on how to identify intrapreneurs within an organization, which first begins through a search for them, testing to identify traits, examining their social media for their interests, and finding out who has startup experiences. This source also links to a test as well as a criteria to benchmark against to determine intrapreneur traits. This criteria includes achievement striving, industriousness, passion, taking control, and creativity. This particular tools would require implementation internally within the organization.

Another tool is E-Scan which offers e-learning training programs for intrapreneurs. This training program is activated after employees complete the E-scan. Intrapreneur scan measures as well as monitors the strength of an organization to help in identifying intrapreneurs. It measures how entrepreneurial an employee is. It is based on a scientifically validated online questionnaire. It allows for the assessment of all employees of a company, or those of a single department, to form a total profile providing a full picture of how entrepreneurial they are, as well as what is lacking. To purchase this tool, one will have to contact them directly here.

CONCLUSION
To summarize, after extensive search, I was unable to find studies or scholarly articles that specifically reference the requested tools. However, some of the main tools that came up in my research are the Social Intrapreneur Profile's scorecard, Collective Campus's guide, E-Scan's Intrapreneur Scan, as well as a free basic Virgin quiz questionnaire.
