Research Strategy

One important factor in conducting the research was a decision about who counted as an opinion leader. The research team accepted as an opinion leader a person who is either: a) an executive in a company involved in science and technology, b) someone who has been a speaker at a previous science and technology conference or event, or c) someone who is a journalist or senior writer in technology. We considered discussion of an event to be relevant when it was published in a post on social media or in an online article within the last two years.
