TOP 5 USER GENERATED CONTENT PLATFORMS

Research Strategy

To generate a list of the next 5 top user-generated content platforms in the United States, we searched through technology sites (such as G2 and TechCrunch) because those sites offer complete information on user-generated content platforms. We found a list of the best platforms on G2. Using this list as a starting point, we searched for the revenue of each company through its official company website, press releases, and in company databases (such as ZoomInfo and Crunchbase). Since most of the companies are private, they do not publicly release their revenues, so estimated revenues from Crunchbase were used. We then chose five companies with the highest revenue, located in the United States.

Adobe Experience Manager is a branch of Adobe System Company. We were unable to find the exact revenue for Adobe Experience Manager Software, therefore, we used the revenue from the Digital Experience Segment within Adobe System Company. From our research, we determined that Adobe Experience Manager contributed to a large part of Adobe System's total revenue. With regard to the total funding, Adobe System has reached its IPO since 1986, therefore, we provided data for its market capitalization as it was the same as the funding that Adobe System has in its company now, according to Yahoo Finance.
