To find the US market size, we scoured through market reports and influencer marketing related articles from credible sources such as InfluencerMarketingHub, BusinessInsider, and Statista among others but a pre-calculated market size of influencer marketing for the US was not available. However, during our research, we came across a report indicating that the United States holds a share of 26% of the global influencer marketing market. Hence, we decided to use this percentage to triangulate the market size for influencer marketing in the US i.e.,
Global market size of influencer marketing in 2018 = $5.67 billion.
Market share of US in the global influencer marketing market = 26%.
US market size for influencer marketing = $5,670,000,000 x 0.26.
= $1,474,200,000
= $1.47 billion.
To triangulate the estimated growth of influencer marketing in the US, we used the projected growth of the global influencer marketing market i.e., $8.08 billion till 2020.
Assuming that by 2020 the market share of US influencer marketing will still be 26%, we calculated the projected growth as:
Global market size of influencer marketing in 2020 = $8.08 billion.
Market share of US in the global influencer marketing market = 26%.
Growth of influencer marketing in the US by 2020 = $8,080,000,000 x 0.26.

Using this data, we calculated the Compound Annual Growth Rate (CAGR) of the market size of the influencer marketing in the US using a CAGR calculator.
