I'm looking for competitive analysis on Goodreads - specifically others that offer reviews and recommendations to friends.

Goodreads and its three top competitors offer a way to catalog books one has read or wants to read. Each competitor also has unique features that make it stand out in some way. A competitive analysis of the companies has been provided in this spreadsheet. A description of each company can also be found below.

1. Goodreads - This site is the largest book catalog site out there, with over 65 million users. They offer a huge selection of books and a welcoming, fun community area.

2. BookShout - This is an app that is independent of other ebook apps, meaning the users can find, purchase, download, and read the book all on the BookShout app. It also has catalog features, customization features for the actual text of the book, and speed-reading technology.

3. LibraryThing - A simplified site similar to Goodreads that allows for cataloging books, discussion about books, and access to over 2000 early releases of books.

4. BookLikes - A blog-type site that not only allows users to catalog and discuss books they have read, but gives each user their own web page to blog about their thoughts and feelings regarding books. They aim to bring together everyone in the book community, including authors, readers, and reviewers.

In conclusion, a competitive analysis of each company has been entered into this spreadsheet.
