Can you help me list the top 10 largest educational publishers in the world focusing on STEM subjects in terms of revenue, their respective revenue, and what country they are based in?

Hello! Thanks for your question about the top 10 educational publishers worldwide focused on STEM subjects by revenue and where they are based.

The short version is that the top 10 biggest academic publishers focused on STEM subjects are Pearson Education, Wiley, Oxford University Press, Cambridge University Press, McGraw-Hill, Houghton Mifflin, Cengage, Klett, Scholastic, Macmillan Science and Education.

The most useful sources I found to answer your question are corporate websites and BookScouter.

Below you will find a deep dive of my research.

TOP ACADEMIC PUBLISHERS FOCUSED ON STEM SUBJECTS
We found the top educational publishers by revenue based on rankings by BookScouter. However, though we researched each company's financials and annual reports, we did not find any specific segmentation for revenue from STEM products exclusively. Nevertheless, we determined the revenue segment for educational publications whenever possible.

According to BookScouter, the top 5 educational publishers are Cengage Learning, Houghton Mifflin Harcourt, McGraw-Hill Education, Pearson Education, and Scholastic. However, most of these publishers are based in the US. We found that the other major educational publishers by revenue are based in Germany and the UK. Please see below for the complete list.

Pearson is a UK-based educational publisher and the top player in the global industry of academic publishing. According to its financial report in 2015, Pearson had £4.5 billion in revenue though it did not differentiate between STEM and non-STEM products. An example of Pearson's STEM product is its MasteringChemistry collection targeted towards higher education students.
