Research Strategy
The team first looked into an expert-compiled list of the top consumer data healthcare aggregator apps. During the search, we were able to find a list of the top ten medical record apps from App Grooves. We then looked into the list and found that some apps were not mainly healthcare aggregator apps, so we had to segregate some apps and choose apps that provide healthcare-related information such as medical records, patient history, laboratory results, and others. The team then started to choose the “Top” by looking into the number of downloads, user experience, revenue, and other metrics such as app awards and expert reviews or mentions. From this, we were able to choose MyChart, Healow, FollowMyHealth, Medical ID: In Case of Emergency, and Medical Records as the top consumer data healthcare aggregator apps.
