Current Glioblastoma Clinical Trials

There are currently 309 clinical trials for Glioblastoma. The trials and all associated information may be accessed in this spreadsheet.
  • Lilly, Genotech, and Novacure are some of the manufacturers of medications in the trials.
  • There are many generic drugs being used in the trials.
  • There are multiple studies that do not involve medication, but cognitive or behavioral therapy along with diet.

RESEARCH STRATEGY

We consulted the National Institutes of Health’s (NIH) US National Library of Medicine which catalogs all clinical trials in the United States. Utilizing the site’s search function, we isolated all clinical trials for Glioblastoma. This resulted in a total of 945 studies. We further narrowed the search with the following filters: Recruiting, Enrolling by Invitation, and Active Not Recruiting. This resulted in the 309 studies which are being presented in the attached spreadsheet.

For each of these studies, we identified the following data points: NCT Number, title of the study, an acronym (if applicable), the status of the study, the study results, the condition being studied (recurrent or new glioblastoma), the interventions being taken, the manufacturer of the drug or device involved in the trial (if a drug or device trial), the outcome measures, the sponsors or collaborators, the gender and ages of those involved in the trial, the current phase of the trial, the number of participants enrolled, who the trial is funded by, the study type, the study design, when the trial started, the primary completion date, the predicted completion date, when data was first posted, when the last update was posted, the location of the study, and a link to the study documents within the US National Library of Medicine. As we determined manufacturer data, we identified the manufacturer of the drug or device listed in trials utilizing drugs or devices. If a non-trade name drug was found to have multiple manufacturers, we assumed the generic was utilized and have noted the spreadsheet as such. For studies that were not drug or device based, no manufacturer data has been added to the output.
