Ten gerontechnologies in today's market are Orcam MyEye, KardiaMobile, CarePredict @Home, MyndYou, Pillo, Ellcie Healthy Smart Eyewear, Golden, ElliQ, Hive Link, and Walabot. These products have been detailed below, as well as in the attached spreadsheet.

In order to fulfill this request, lists of gerontechnology products were analyzed to determine which products were utilizing AI technologies and were intended for use by the elderly or other individuals who require assistance in order to maintain independence. From here, company websites, press releases, and insights from trusted media sources were used to gather the requested information for each product. Although all of these products have officially launched in the market, some of them have limited availability, are wait listed, or are only available in the B2B market. Any specifics regarding this have been noted below.

PRODUCT 1: ORCAM MYEYE

Orcam MyEye is made by Orcam Technologies and sells at a price of $3,500. It is currently available in countries that speak the following languages: English, Spanish, German, Italian, Dutch, French, Hebrew, Danish, Polish Norwegian, Portuguese, Romanian, Finnish, Swedish, Czech, Turkish, Hungarian, Russian, Bulgarian, Mandarin, and Japanese. Orcams website says, "When purchasing, the language installed on the device is dependent on the region you are purchasing from." Orcam MyEye is a piece of assistive, wearable AI technology that helps the blind and visually impaired read text, recognize faces, and identify products.


PRODUCT 2: KARDIAMOBILE

KardiaMobile is made by AliveCor and sells for $99. It is available in the United States. KardiaMobile is a personal, mobile EKG monitor that uses AI technology to record medical-grade EKGs within seconds from any location using a smartphone or tablet. The user can send the results directly to their doctor. It is assumed this device is intended for individuals with chronic heart conditions.

PRODUCT 3: CAREPREDICT @HOME

CarePredict @Home is made by CarePredict. The product officially launched in January 2019 and the company is allowing prospective buyers to 'register their interest'. Pricing information has not been made public, based on analysis of the company's website. CarePredict @Home has undergone successful testing in the United States and Japan. This product uses AI and smart technologies to predict the health conditions of elderly individuals by analyzing their daily activities such as: eating, drinking, walking, grooming, sleeping, bathing, and using the restroom. Caregivers and family members can monitor the evolving health of the user.

PRODUCT 4: MYNDYOU

MyndYou is made by a company of the same name (MyndYou). The company's website seems to suggest a flexible pricing model that requires a consultation. MyndYou can be used in countries that speak the following languages: English, Spanish and Hebrew. This product relies on AI and machine learning technology to passively monitor the behavioral and cognitive functions of the elderly. The technology analyzes the users voice and activity to "detect changes that require intervention."

PRODUCT 5: PILLO

Pillo is made by Pillo Health and sells for $499 for the unit, plus a $39 per month subscription thereafter. The company does not currently specify any geographical limitations for using this product. Pillo is an automatic medication dispenser and AI assistant designed to serve as a home health companion. It can do things like give "therapy reminders, health information, and companionship" to help aging adults stay on track with their care plan. It can also do things like provide nutritional information about food, deliver the news, and serve as a medication reminder. Primary caregivers can also make video calls using Pillo.

PRODUCT 6: ELLCIE HEALTHY SMART EYEWEAR

Ellcie Healthy Smart Eyewear by Ellcie-Healthy sells for $278 (249 EUR) and is currently available in France. These glasses are designed to alert users when they are falling asleep behind the wheel, and in the near future will also help to send an alert if the wearer falls. The eyewear uses AI and machine learning to learn about the behaviors of the user in order to improve diagnostic accuracy. The glasses can be specified to the users' prescription as well.

PRODUCT 7: GOLDEN

Golden is a financial service provided by the Golden Corporation. It costs $20 per month. The company has not directly stated any geographical limitations on their website, however, a comprehensive analysis of their website indicates that they likely serve the U.S. market specifically based on the information being presented. This service incorporates AI technology to allow family members to easily manage the bills and expenses of their elderly loved ones by helping them to pay bills, protect them from fraud, reduce their expenses, identify possible increases in their loved one's government benefits, analyze how long their loved-one's money will last, help them determine the best methods of paying for home care and assisted living, and offers legal, insurance and financial services.

PRODUCT 8: ELLIQ

ElliQ is made by a company of the same name (ElliQ) and sells for$1,499 for the unit and a monthly subscription of $35. It is currently available in the United States. This is a robotic companion that uses AI technology to make helpful, actionable suggestions for elderly users such as: reminding them to take medications, take a walk, or play music when company visiting. The device also allows users to video-chat with family.

PRODUCT 9: HIVE LINK

Hive Link is made by Hive and sells for a one-time fee of $191 plus a subscription of $19.15 per month thereafter. It is currently available in United Kingdom. This device uses artificial intelligence to first develop a "baseline pattern" of the user's daily behaviors and sends an alert when that person's behaviors change or when they forget to do something important such as locking the door to their home.

PRODUCT 10: WALABOT

WalaBot is made by a company of the same name (Walabot) and sells for $149 for the unit plus a $4.99 month subscription. It is currently available in the United States, United Kingdom and Europe. This is wall-mounted device that detects a person's presence in order to send an alert in case the person falls, and in the future can help monitor other things about a person's behavior. It also allows for video-calling.

The smartwatch features a 3-day long battery life, 50 to 200 meter location accuracy, Geo-Fencing capability, two-way calling, and remote camera, among others. The caregivers can use the smartwatch data to track, locate and monitor patients movement activities. Subscription pricing starts at $16 per month.

Mobile Duo

Mobile Duo is a two-way bundled GPS system that connects multiple users. The device uses a patented GPS technology that provides nationwide cellular coverage for the device. Mobile Duo allows two people to bring emergency medical alert anywhere across the US with accessible cellular coverage. The system uses passive physiological sensing and artificial intelligence to notify caregivers by phone, email, or text if wellness readings fall out of range. Livio AI Hearing Aids

Livio AI is the world’s first hearing aid with artificial intelligence integrated sensors. The device uses the built-in 3D sensors to detect when a wearer falls, and automatically send alert messages to the selected contacts for emergency response. The retail price of the intelligent device range from $2,998 to $3,500.

Nimb Ring

Nimb Ring is a small wearable device that comes with a panic button. The smart ring gets easily connected with a mobile app of the user. The device can send an emergency alert to first responders and selected emergency contacts. Nimb is able to provide accurate location details to the emergency contacts and can be used across the US at an annual service fee of $287.40.

Home Safety Hub (PERS-4200X)

Home Safety Hub PERS-4200X is an intelligent console connected with other PERS wearables and home sensors. This controller combines information from associated sensing devices like smoke detectors, motion detectors, and window-door sensors to create emergency response alerts for seniors in need. MedaCube

Premier

Premier is a mini controller device that enables seniors to access to reminders, voice messages, and emergency response. The controller is connected to a wearable device and provide services like — GPS tracking, medication reminders, personalized health notes, fall detection, caregiver connectivity, and PocketMD.
