Gen Z Marketing Agency Research

Although identifying reports specific to Gen Z that are published on a regular basis by creative and media agencies was challenging to find (as most of the available reports and surveys located were those already identified in the Early Findings leg of this research), we were able to locate eight additional reports that zero in on this topic that are published on an annual basis.

Piper Sandler's 38th Semi-Annual Generation Z Survey

  • Agency Name: Piper Sandler. Although Piper Sandler is, on the whole, an investment bank, they also offer capital advisory services which provide "an integrated team of product experts dedicated to delivering comprehensive advisory and fundraising services spanning the entire capital spectrum to Piper Sandler clients."
  • Location: Minneapolis, MN.
  • Report Name: The Piper Sandler Taking Stock With Teens® survey.
  • Report Methodology: Survey of 9,500 teens in the U.S. The report covers "discretionary spending patterns, fashion trends, technology, and brand and media preferences are assessed through surveying a geographically diverse subset of high schools across the U.S."
  • Frequency of Report: Semi-annually.

Deloitte Global Millennial Survey

  • Report Name: Deloitte Global Millennial Survey.
  • Report Methodology: "The 2019 report is based on the views of 13,416 millennials questioned across 42 countries and territories, and 3,009 Gen Zs from 10 countries." The report asks respondents about their view of the world, economic expectations, social/political opinions, opinions on industry, work, social media, and their emotions.
  • Frequency of Report: Annually.

TrendHunter's Monthly Report

  • Report Name: Gen Z.
  • Report Methodology: TrendHunter publishes a monthly report that often focuses on Gen Z and related topics, especially those that pertain to the younger Gen Z cohort (i.e. children/play/toys etc).
  • Frequency of Report: Monthly.

LaSalle Network Report: 'What the Class of 2019 Wants'

  • Location: Chicago, IL.
  • Report Name: What the Class of 2019 Wants.
  • Report Methodology: This report is a survey of 3,000 2019 college graduates. The report focuses on what Gen Z is looking for in terms of work, career, and salary expectations.
  • Frequency of Report: Annual.

Tinder's 'Year in Swipe' Report

  • Agency Name: Tinder is a social media company.
  • Report Name: Year in Swipe.
  • Report Methodology: Tinder collected data based on Tinder profiles, focusing on users in the Gen Z cohort (18-24) globally, who make up the majority of users on Tinder. The report focuses on identifying the things Gen Z cares about and likes the most.
  • Frequency of Report: Annual.

Universum's U.S. Talent Survey

  • Report Name: U.S. Talent Survey.
  • Report Methodology: This study is a survey of tens of thousands of college students. The survey asks students about their expectations for future employment and what they want from their future employers. Since 2015, this demographic has been the Gen Z cohort.
