Games Market Data - Mexico, Free

After looking into analytic data provided by SensorTower, we were able to calculate most numbers relating to downloads of the provided free mobile games in Mexico. There was no freely available information regarding age demographics, therefore we input the age ratings provided by developers. The Apple store rates games with an actual age, and Google Play uses ESRB ratings, so we deferred to the Apple store. If a particular app was not available on the Apple store, however, we translated the ESRB ratings from Google Play into an age based on ESRB standards.

We were unable to find Knife Hit (Android) or Balls Race (Android) on Sensor Tower or other networks, so we referenced the total Android downloads.
We were able to find Rush (iOS) and Helix Jump (iOS) on Sensor Tower, but Mexico is not listed on the pie chart depicting user demographics, meaning the country makes up less than 1% of users. Since we cannot accurately calculate the number, we instead provided the total global downloads. The exact information may be hidden behind Sensor Tower’s paywall. All information has been added to the provided in the attached spreadsheet.

METHODOLOGY

We first examined the information available on the iTunes and Play stores in order to provide approximate download numbers, but there is no breakdown on these websites regarding demographics. We then referred to SensorTower.com, a website that provides analytics on different mobile games. This website offered approximates for global downloads, but its country-specific data was labeled with percentages. We therefore applied the percentages for Mexican users to the global downloads to reach our numbers. Our exact process is detailed below:
Palabras Cruz: 2,000,000 Global Downloads x 39% Mexico users = 780,000 Mexican users.
Knife Hit: 4,000,000 Global Downloads x 2% Mexican Users = 80,000 Mexican users.
Dunk Line: 2,000,000 Global Downloads (iOS) x 2% Mexican Users (iOS) = 40,000 Mexican users (iOS); 1,000,000 Global Downloads (Android) x 2% Mexican Users = 20,000 Mexican Users (Android)

The demographics of ages do not exist freely, so we instead listed the age ratings. We deferred to the Apple store rating primarily, and if that was unavailable, we translated the ESRB rating from Google Play into an age based on ESRB standards.

HELPFUL FINDINGS

We found a few sources that may be helpful, though they are locked behind a paywall. An article hosted on Statista provides data on “leading mobile gaming markets worldwide as of 2nd quarter 2016, by share of game installs.” Another article from the same website claims to have information on the “devices children used to play video games in Mexico in 2016.” This won’t give you exactly what you’re looking for, but it may be able to give you an idea of the balance between players 7-12 years old on iOS and Android devices.
There are several websites that may be useful in order to find the exact information you’re looking for. One of these is Sensor Tower, which “equips you with the data and insights” to analyze user demographics among mobile apps. ThinkGaming.com is a similar website, and if you are unable to find your information on Sensor Tower, it may be worth looking there.

CONCLUSION

Utilizing SensorTower.com, we were able to calculate most of the data regarding downloads in Mexico as requested. We were not able to find information regarding the age demographics, so we substituted the age ratings for the games. All the relevant information was also filled into the attached spreadsheet.

Games Market Data - Brazil, Free

The free apps that have high downloads in Brazil are Subway Surfers (28,211,039 downloads) and Kick the Buddy (995,588 downloads). These, and along with the other eight free apps' estimated downloads and demographics information were entered in the attached spreadsheet (Brazil tab, rows 3-12).
While there were no precompiled reports or statistics that could directly quote the total downloads in Brazil for the specified 10 free apps, we were able to come up with an estimated figure. For the purpose of this research, demographics for Brazil were assumed to be similar to the global trend. The methodology, estimations, assumptions, and calculations of how these figures were derived are provided below.

METHODOLOGY

In the 'Google Play' store for Android users, the number of installs or downloads for the specific app was provided, while the 'iTunes/Apple' store does not give any information on its number of downloads. There was also no available data that could pinpoint the actual demographics of the users either globally or in Brazil, thus, the information of the age range was based on each apps' provided age ratings.
Due to above mentioned restrictions, we've estimated the number of downloads for the iOS device using the ratio identified for Android users, i.e. for every X number of ratings is equivalent to Y number of downloads, and assumed it to be identical for iOS users. The total ratings for the iOS device for the specific app was determined using Appannie database, an app market data, and insights company that analyzes consumer and competitive information on downloads, revenue, ratings, usage, and search terms. This database provides some information per country, which includes Brazil, but needs to sign up in order to access all the information. Below, I have presented a detailed calculation for each app.

Games Market Data - France, Free

The free apps that have high numbers of download in France are Dunk Line (2.05 million), Pixel Art (1.26 million), and Knife Hit (932,700). These, and along with the other seven free apps' estimated downloads and demographics information were entered in the attached spreadsheet (France tab, rows 3-12).

While there were no precompiled reports or statistics that could directly quote the total downloads in France for the specified 10 free apps, we were able to come up with an estimated figure. For the purpose of this research, demographics for France was assumed to be similar to the global trend. The methodology, estimations, assumptions, and calculations of how these figures were derived is provided below.

METHODOLOGY

In the 'Google Play' store for Android users, the number of installs or downloads for the specific app was provided including the number of total ratings, while the 'iTunes/Apple' store does not give any information on its number of downloads and the ratings given are for the games' current version only. There was also no available data that could pinpoint the actual demographics of the users either globally or in France, hence, the information of the age range was based on each apps' provided age ratings (the ages for which the apps are suitable).

Due to the above restrictions, we've estimated the number of downloads for the iOS device using the below assumptions;

1. The ratio identified for Android users, i.e. for every X number of ratings is equivalent to Y number of downloads, was assumed to be identical for iOS users. The total ratings for the iOS device for the specific app was determined using AppAnnie database, an app market data and insights company that analyzes consumer and competitive information on downloads, revenue, ratings, usage and search terms. This database provides some information per country, which includes France, but requires registration in order to access these pieces of information.

2. For apps that are only applicable to the iOS device, we used the ThinkGaming database where it gives the estimated daily downloads and multiplies this estimate by the number of days since the app was released. Below, we've presented a detailed calculation and findings for each app.

FIGHT LIST 2

Fight List 2, the newer version of Fight List, was recently released on Nov. 11, 2017, and is only available for the iOS device. This app does not have a record on Google Play store (except for its older version). According to ThinkGaming database, this app gets 33,293 daily downloads. Counting from the day it was first released, there were about 147 days as of date;

147 days * 33,293 = 4,894,071 downloads

Games Market Data - Germany, Free

While the precise number of downloads by country and the age ranges of the customers are not publicly available information, we have used the available information to triangulate estimates as to the number of Android and iOS downloads for each of these ten free games and their target audiences. This information is presented in the project spreadsheet.
Below you will find a deep dive on why this information is not publicly available, the methodology for our estimates, and a brief summary of the available data and calculations used for each of these games.

METHODOLOGY

Since the Google Play store (the most popular source by far for Android app downloads) only provides a rounded-off figure for total downloads (which is not sub-divided by country), and the Apple store does not provide total downloads at all, we attempted to triangulate an answer based on the following assumptions:
1) The number of ratings for each app in both the Play and Apple stores are proportional to the number of downloads; e.g., if an app has 5 million downloads and 50,000 ratings on the Play Store and 60,000 ratings on the Apple store, we would calculate the Apple downloads at about 6 million.
2) The company's website traffic country of origin is in direct proportion to the number of downloads that app gains from that country. For example, if 5% of the company's traffic comes from Germany, then we will calculate that 5% of the app's downloads likewise come from Germany.
3) If the company website's German traffic cannot be determined from SimilarWeb (which provides only the top five countries without a subscription), then we will estimate the German traffic as follows: Germany has about 1/4 the population of the United States (82.67 million / 325.7 million). The Play Store receives 20.71% of its traffic from the US, and the Apple store gets 23.14% of its traffic from the US. Ergo, dividing those percentages by four, we would expect Germany to have about 5.1% of the Play Store's traffic and 5.7% of the Apple Store's. However, this should put Germany in the top five for each, which clearly isn't true. Therefore, we will calculate Germany's traffic at a little under the country in the fifth slot, at 3.5% for each of the stores.
Since assumption #3 will provide only the grossest possible estimates, we will mark those calculated by this method on the spreadsheet as "(est.)." On the one hand, this percentage is likely overestimating the number of German downloads. However, given that we have not attempted to include the many smaller Android app stores, we judge that this will balance out any over-estimations of the number of downloads from Google Play.
In attempting to establish the demographics, we conducted a search for any article or review of the game which might contain insight into its actual audience. We were unable to locate this information in any public source, though the Think Gaming site does offer the requested information for at least some of the requested games, at a cost of hundreds of dollars per month as a subscription service. We hypothesize that this marketing data is both difficult to obtain and incredibly valuable to the gaming industry, resulting in this data commanding such a high price.

FLOTTE COMMANDANT

Flotte Commandant, or Fleet Command, is unavailable on the US version of the Play Store and per the company website, is only available in an Android version. In fact, we were only able to obtain a screenshot via a smartphone. That screenshot indicates that Flotte Commandant has been downloaded about a million times. The company site indicates that the game is intended for German, French, Chinese, and English audiences, but as noted, it is not available in the US. Unfortunately, the site is small enough not to appear on website tracking sites like SimilarWeb. We have therefore listed the Google Play Store downloads as the downloads to date. The game is intended for ages 10 and up; we were unable to find a source with more detailed demographic information.

BASEBALL BOY!

This game has over 5 million downloads on Play, with nearly 71,000 ratings. Since there are about 95,000 ratings on Apple, we calculate the Apple downloads at 6.7 million (95 / 71 * 5 million). Baseball Boy is produced by Voodoo, which sees significant traffic from France and Italy but does not have Germany in the top 5. We therefore estimate Baseball Boy's German downloads at (multiplying the above estimates by 3.5%) 175,000 for the Android version and 235,000 for iOS. The game is considered suitable for everyone, and we were unable to discover a public source with more detailed demographic information.

KNIFE HIT

Knife Hit has over 10 million downloads and over 137,000 ratings on the Play Store. However, it has only 8,700 ratings on the Apple Store, suggesting only 635,000 downloads (8.7 / 137 * 10 million). The producing company, Ketchapp Studio, does have an entry on SimilarWeb, but unfortunately that entry does not include country information. We therefore estimate Knife Hit's German downloads at (multiplying the above estimates by 3.5%) 350,000 Android downloads and 22,000 iOS. The game is considered suitable for everyone.

ARD QUIZ

Ard Quiz appears to be available exclusively in German, and therefore we will understand all downloads to be by a German audience. The game claims 500,000 installs and 1,300 ratings on Google Play. Since it has only 85 ratings in the Apple Store, we estimate only about 33,000 downloads (85 / 1,300 * 500,000). The game is considered suitable for everyone, and we were unable to discover more demographic details in a public source.

DUNK LINE

Dunk Line has 1 million downloads and 5,870 ratings on Google Play. With 1,200 ratings on the Apple store, we estimate its iOS downloads at 204,000 (1,200 / 5,870 * 1 million). As noted earlier, the producing company, Ketchapp Studio, does not have country information on SimilarWeb. We therefore estimate Dunk Lines's German downloads at (multiplying the above estimates by 3.5%) 35,000 Android and a little over 7,100 iOS. The game is considered suitable for everyone, and as with our other entries, we could locate no other public demographic information.

PIXEL ART

Pixel Art, despite still being in beta testing, has over 10 million downloads and 723,000 ratings on Google Play. Based on the 207,000 ratings on the Apple store, we estimate 2.9 million iOS downloads (207 / 723 * 10 million). The publisher, EasyBrain, is actually more popular in Germany than the US, drawing 10.8% of its traffic from the former. Based on this, we triangulate Pixel Art's German downloads at approximately 1.1 million Android and 313,000 iOS. This game is naturally rated for everyone, and while we suspect based on its content that its primary audience is younger children, we are unable to substantiate that with any public source of information.

QUIZCLASH!

QuizClash is allegedly available in an iOS format, but is not currently available in the US in that format and therefore we were unable to determine the number of downloads. On the Android side, QuizClash has a million downloads. While the game's main site appears on SimilarWeb, it does not provide country data. We therefore estimate QuizCrash's German Android downloads at 3.5% of the total, or 35,000. Quizcrash is considered suitable for everyone, and we were unable to locate any other demographic data.

WORT KREUZ

Wort Kreuz auf Deutsch has only 1,000 downloads in the Play Store. We were unable to locate an iOS version of this game. The game is rated for everyone; we were unable to locate any public demographic information.

FIGHT LIST 2

Fight List 2 is available only on the Apple store, and conseq1uently we are unable to estimate the number of downloads. However, given that it has only 360 ratings, and based on the rating counts on many of the other games we have described above, the number of German downloads is likely to be only in the thousands. However, Fight List 1 was very popular, with over 10 million Android downloads, so this estimate may be low. Ultimately, we simply lack sufficient information to provide even a rough triangulation. The game is rated for audiences of age 12 and up.

SNAKE VS BLOCK

Snake vs. Block has over 10 million installs and nearly 340,000 ratings on the Play Store. With nearly 132,000 ratings on the Apple Store, we estimate that it has seen a total of 3.9 million iOS installs (132 / 340 * 10 million). Like Baseball Boy, Snake vs. Block is produced by Voodoo, which sees significant traffic from France and Italy, but does not have Germany in the top 5. We therefore will use our figure of 3.5% to estimate that the game has seen 350,000 Android downloads and about 137,000 iOS downloads in Germany. The game is targeted at an audience of age 12 and up.

CONCLUSION

The results of the above calculations for the number of German downloads of Flotte Commandant, Baseball Boy, Knife Hit, ARD Quiz, Dunk Line, Pixel Art, Quizclash, Wort Kreuz, Fight List 2, and Snake VS Block has been summarized in the project spreadsheet. We have to emphasize that these are very rough estimates based on the very small amount of information available in the public domain. If having more precise download and demographic information is critical to your project, Think Gaming may be able to provide it.

Games Market Data - Spain, Free

While the precise number of downloads by country and the age ranges of the customers are not publicly available information, we have used the available information to triangulate estimates as to the number of Android and iOS downloads for each of these ten free games and their target audiences in Spain. This information is presented in the project spreadsheet.
Below you will find a deep dive on why this information is not publicly available, the methodology for our estimates, and a brief summary of the available data and calculations used for each of these games.

METHODOLOGY

Since the Google Play store (the most popular source by far for Android app downloads) only provides a rounded-off figure for total downloads (which is not sub-divided by country), and the Apple store does not provide total downloads at all, we attempted to triangulate an answer based on the following assumptions:
1) The number of ratings for each app in both the Play and Apple stores are proportional to the number of downloads; e.g., if an app has 5 million downloads and 50,000 ratings on the Play Store and 60,000 ratings on the Apple store, we would calculate the Apple downloads at about 6 million.
2) The company's website traffic country of origin is in direct proportion to the number of downloads that app gains from that country. For example, if 5% of the company's traffic comes from Spain, then we will calculate that 5% of the app's downloads likewise come from Spain.
3) If the company website's Spanish traffic cannot be determined from SimilarWeb (which provides only the top five countries without a subscription), then we will estimate the Spanish traffic as follows: Spain has about 14% of the population of the United States (46.6 million / 325.7 million). The Play Store receives 20.71% of its traffic from the US, and the Apple store gets 23.14% of its traffic from the US. Ergo, multiplying those percentages by 14%, we would expect Spain to have about 3% of the Play Store's traffic and 3.2% of the Apple Store's.
Since assumption #3 will provide only the grossest possible estimates, we will mark those calculated by this method on the spreadsheet as "(est.)." On the one hand, this percentage is likely overestimating the number of Spanish downloads. However, given that we have not attempted to include the many smaller Android app stores, we judge that this will balance out any over-estimations of the number of downloads from Google Play.
In attempting to establish the demographics, we conducted a search for any article or review of the game which might contain insight into its actual audience. We were unable to locate this information in any public source, though the Think Gaming site does offer the requested information for at least some of the requested games, at a cost of hundreds of dollars per month as a subscription service. We hypothesize that this marketing data is both difficult to obtain and incredibly valuable to the gaming industry, resulting in this data commanding such a high price.

FIGHT LIST 2

Fight List 2 is available only on the Apple store, and consequently we are unable to estimate the number of downloads. However, given that it has only 360 ratings, and based on the rating counts on many of the other games (see below), the number of Spanish downloads is likely to be only in the thousands. However, Fight List 1 was very popular (again, see below) so this estimate may be low. Ultimately, we simply lack sufficient information to provide even a rough triangulation. The game is rated for audiences of age 12 and up.

FIGHT LIST

The original fight list is no longer available in the Apple store, and consequently we are unable to gauge its popularity on that platform from the number of ratings. However, it was extremely popular on the Play store, with over 10 million downloads and over 179,000 ratings. The publisher, Voodoo, does not have ratings for Spain on its SimilarWeb profile, so we will use our default of 3%. Based on this, we estimate that the original Fight List has seen about 300,000 downloads in Spain. The game is rated for everyone, though like its successor is probably primarily targeted at ages 12 and up.

PARCHEESI STAR

Parcheesi Star has over 5 million downloads and nearly 205,000 ratings on Play, which makes it nearly inexplicable that it has only 7 ratings on Apple. That suggests that the iOS downloads are negligible at best. Therefore, since the publisher, Gameberry, does not have Spain in its top five visitors on SimilarWeb, we will use the default 3% to estimate that Parcheesi Star has approximately 150,000 downloads in Spain. The game is rated for everyone, and we were unable to find any supplementary demographic information.

PALABRAS CRUZ

Palabras Cruz (lit. "Cross Words") has a million downloads and 29,000 ratings on Play, so the 834 ratings on Apple would translate into about another 29,000 downloads (384 / 29,000 * 1 million). Since this is already the Spanish language version of the game, our usual calculation will not work. Unfortunately, while the game has a host site, there is insufficient data for SimilarWeb to calculate which countries are visiting the site. Since there are approximately 400 million Spanish speakers in the world, Spain comprises about 12% of all Spanish speakers (46.6 million / 400 million). Therefore, we estimate that 123,000 downloads of this game (1,029,000 * 12%) were in Spain. This game is rated for everyone, and we were unable to find more specific demographic information.

BASEBALL BOY!

This game has over 5 million downloads on Play, with nearly 71,000 ratings. Since there are about 95,000 ratings on Apple, we calculate the Apple downloads at 6.7 million (95 / 71 * 5 million). Baseball Boy is produced by Voodoo, which sees significant traffic from France and Italy but does not have Spain in the top 5. We therefore estimate Baseball Boy's Spanish downloads at (multiplying the above estimates by 3% and 3.2%, respectively) 150,000 for the Android version and 214,000 for iOS, for a total of 364,000. The game is considered suitable for everyone, and we were unable to discover a public source with more detailed demographic information.

KNIFE HIT

Knife Hit has over 10 million downloads and over 137,000 ratings on the Play Store. However, it has only 8,700 ratings on the Apple Store, suggesting only 635,000 downloads (8.7 / 137 * 10 million). The producing company, Ketchapp Studio, does have an entry on SimilarWeb, but unfortunately that entry does not include country information. We therefore estimate Knife Hit's Spanish downloads at (multiplying the above estimates by 3% and 3.2%, respectively) 300,000 Android downloads and 20,000 iOS, for a total of 320,000. The game is considered suitable for everyone.

PIXEL ART

Pixel Art, despite still being in beta testing, has over 10 million downloads and 723,000 ratings on Google Play. Based on the 207,000 ratings on the Apple store, we estimate 2.9 million iOS downloads (207 / 723 * 10 million). ONE LINE ONE STROKE

Ihar Matushkin's version of One Line One Stroke is only available in the Apple store, where it has received 1,400 ratings. However, without a count of downloads from Apple or one from Play with which to calibrate that number, we cannot determine the total number of downloads, let alone the downloads from a particular country. In addition, the publisher does not appear to have an independent website (all searches on the name simply brought us back to the Apple store), so we are unable to use SimilarWeb to obtain additional information. We must therefore list the number of downloads as not available, with the game rated for ages 4 and up.

KICK THE BUDDY

While there are several derivative titles on Play, Kick the Buddy by Chill Fleet is only available on iOS, where it has received an astounding 390,000 ratings. We were unable to locate a website for the publisher, and therefore cannot use SimilarWeb to obtain additional information. Normally, this would prevent us from proceeding further, but based on the similarly high number of ratings for the iOS version of Pixel Art (see above), we can comfortably estimate that Kick the Buddy has had at least 3 million downloads which, using our default 3.2% for iOS downloads in Spain, gives us an estimate of 96,000 downloads. Kick the Buddy is rated for ages 12 and above; as in the other games here, we were unable to locate more detailed public demographic information.

SUPER MARIO RUN

The spreadsheet originally stated that the name of the game is "Super Mari Run," but no game by that title exists, let alone under the Nintendo label, so we have corrected it as a likely typo. Super Mario Run has over 100 million downloads and 1.15 million ratings on Play. The 15,000 ratings on Apple indicates another 1.3 million downloads. Spain does not appear in the top 5 countries accessing Nintendo's homepage on SimilarWeb, so we will use our default 3% and 3.2% to estimate 3 million Android downloads and 41,000 iOS downloads for a total of 3,041,000. Super Mario Run is rated for ages 4 and up.

CONCLUSION

The results of the above calculations for the number of German downloads of Fight List 2, Fight List, Parcheesi STAR, Palabras Cruz, Baseball Boy, Knife Hit, Pixel Art, One Line One Stroke, Kick the Buddy, and Super Mario Run has been summarized in the project spreadsheet. We have to emphasize that these are very rough estimates based on the very small amount of information available in the public domain. Games Market Data - Turkey, Free

The free app that have high downloads in Turkey are 101 TuzBir Okey Plus (12,157,383 downloads), Sniper 3D (5,849,617 downloads) and SA Word Game (5,800,020 downloads). These, along with seven other free apps' estimated downloads and demographics information, are entered in the attached spreadsheet (Turkey tab, rows 3-12).
While there were no precompiled reports or statistics that could directly quote the total downloads in Turkey for the specified 10 free apps, we were able to come up with an estimated figure. For the purpose of this research, demographics for Turkey were assumed to be similar to the global trend. The methodology, estimations, assumptions, and calculations of how these figures were derived are provided below.

METHODOLOGY

In the 'Google Play' store for Android users, the number of installs or downloads for the specific app was provided, while the 'iTunes/Apple' store does not give any information on its number of downloads. There is no evidence that the actual demographics of the users either globally or in Turkey is available in the public domain, thus, the information of the age range was based on each apps' provided age ratings. Tech app reviewing sites Similarweb, CNET, TechRepublic, App Annie and Sensortower were utilized during the search, but the details concerning country specific downloads is either not available for or are protected behind a paywall paid section.
Due to above mentioned restrictions, we've estimated the number of downloads for the iOS device using the ratio identified for Android users, i.e. for every X number of ratings is equivalent to Y number of downloads, and assumed it to be identical for iOS users. The total ratings for the iOS device for the specific app was determined using Appannie database, an app market data, and insights company that analyzes consumer and competitive information on downloads, revenue, ratings, usage, and search terms. This database provides some information per country, which includes Turkey, but requires a sign up in order to access all the information.

METHODOLOGY

We utilized our resources by searching different combinations of the name of the game, total number of downloads, Android, Google play, iOS, Indonesia, target age, age group, etc. However, the country specific information is not freely available. We came across one website, Think Gaming, that claims to have "the best data on the mobile gaming business," but this requires a Developer plan subscription. However, you can also request a demo through their website. Even so, it may not provide all the information you are looking for. Please refer to "Helpful Findings" below for further information.

When we were unable to find the statistics through our own methods, we were left consulting the game pages in the Apple Store and Play Store. The Apple/iOS store does not provide download figures or statistics. Google Play gives estimates, such as 1,000,000+, but there is no data for specific countries. Since these games are available in multiple countries, we cannot assume any numbers.

Rules of Survival is the only game we were able to split between Play Store downloads and other downloads. For this game, both the total and android download numbers were available. The game runs on iOS, Windows platforms as well. Hence, the remaining 5 million downloads can be considered to be on these two platforms. Again this is at an overall basis and not specific to Indonesia.

For age demographics, we provided the ratings for the games since there was no other information available. In case of any discrepancy between the figures of Google Play and iOS, we have used the figures as provided by Google play since the download data has been mostly taken from that source.

HELPFUL FINDINGS

Again, the most helpful information might be found at Think Gaming. Think Gaming can provide player demographic data regarding "gender, age, marital status, household income, education and phone operating system." This does not seem to include country-specific information, but it may be worth requesting a demo in order to see what they have to offer.

CONCLUSION

Despite the limited data available for free online, we were able to compile global statistics and target age ranges. We have included as much information as we possible could in order to cover the available information. If you wish to investigate further, please feel free to look into Think Gaming's Developer plan.

The free apps that have high downloads in the Philippines are Sniper 3D (1389688 downloads) and Stack Jump (570203 downloads). These, and along with the other eight free apps' estimated downloads and demographics information were entered in the attached spreadsheet (Philippines tab, rows 3-12).
While there were no precompiled reports or statistics that could directly quote the total downloads in the Philippines for the specified 10 free apps, we were able to come up with an estimated figure. For the purpose of this research, demographics for the Philippines were assumed to be similar to the global trend. Games Market Data - China, Free

As required, we have populated the free “Games Market Data” for China in the attached spreadsheet. The information on demographics is behind a paywall and the China-specific download data has been triangulated. Below you will find the methodology adopted and findings of our research.

METHODOLOGY

We first searched for the required information (in Chinese text) on the Apple app store; data on demographics and the number of downloads were not available. Following this, we looked for the information on other sources like sensortower.com and thinkgaming.com. We were able to find the global download data and China’s percentage share in the same on Sensor Tower, but the demographic data was only available on Think Gaming, and it was behind a paywall for all the listed games. We searched for demographic data in both English and Chinese and looked at relevant industry report, but only Think Gaming seems to have the data.
Similarly, we looked for the Android download information on the Google Play Store and used the China market share data from Sensor Tower to calculate the number of downloads in China. Most of the games (except two) in the list are not available on Android. We made searches in Chinese text as well as in the translated English text (verbatim Google Translate result) but were unable to find Android versions for eight out of ten games.

To be doubly sure we also made a search using the publisher name. For example, when you search for “Tencent Games” (published seven out of ten games in the list) on the Google Play Store, it only fetches one game (PUBG Mobile), which is not among the ten on the list. Therefore, we assume some games have been published only on iOS (not on Android).
Also, given the unavailability of freely available demographic data on the web, we have listed the age criteria (obtained from the app store) for downloading the game under the demographic (age range) column.

FINDINGS

The ten games in the list have been translated into English (literal translation)--shown in brackets in bold--and the corresponding calculations for the number of downloads in China have been shown below:
