Education Donors in CT - Areas of Educational Interest

Thank you for your question about the areas of interest for education donors in Connecticut. The short answer is that education donors in Connecticut have numerous areas of educational interests. Below you will find an overview of my findings.

OVERVIEW OF FINDINGS

There are many educational donors in Connecticut, with many educational interests. I have included in this report a spreadsheet. From my research, some educational donors have given to organizations for fighting against economic injustice, universities, schools of business, charter schools, and technology institutes. Universities appear to be the most prominent area of educational interest and have been recipients of donations from Steven and Alexandra Cohen (Brown University), Paul Tudor Jones (University of Virginia), Karen Pritzker (Yale University), Clifford Asness(University of Chicago and University of Pennsylvania), Mario Gabelli (University of Nevada and Fordham University) and Vincent McMahon (East Carolina University and Sacred Heart University). Charter schools also receive donations from a number of the donors listed, specifically Steven and Alexandra Cohen (Achievement First Schools), Paul Tudor Jones (The Bronx Charter School for Excellence), Karen Pritzker (Foote School) and Peter Buck (Success Academy Charter Schools). For more details about these and other donations, as well as sources, please refer to the completed spreadsheet.

CONCLUSION

To wrap it up, there are numerous Connecticut-based educational donors, and combined, each donor has given to many organizations. Each donor has their own areas of educational interests.
