Which female CFOs have taken a company public in the last 10 years.

Although IPOs have been dominated by male CFOs over the past few years, a list of 25 female CFOs who have taken a company public in since 2014 has been compiled and presented on the attached spreadsheet.

Methodology

Since there are relatively few female CFOs in general, much less those who have been the CFO when a company has gone public, the only way I could successfully identify a list of these women was to search all companies that have had IPOs, starting with those that went public in November 2017 and moving backward until I had a list of 25 women. I used IPOScoop, an IPO tracking website, to download an Excel spreadsheet of all companies that have gone public since 2000. Once I found a company with a female CFO, I cross-referenced the name with her LinkedIn profile to verify she was indeed CFO at the time of the IPO. All women on the spreadsheet were CFOs of the company that went public at the time of the IPO; however, four women, Anne Brennan, Jennifer Moyer, Nicole Carrillo, and Hope Cochran, have moved on to other companies since then.

Results

I have included the name, LinkedIn profile, company they worked for, and the company's IPO date for each female CFO I identified between November 2017 and February 2014. Please note that this is not a comprehensive list of all female CFOs who were in that position when their company went public over the past 10 years. However, since 25 names took a significant amount of time to identify, I would suggest that you submit further requests if you need more candidates. We would be happy to find more female CFOs that took their companies public prior to 2014. You can attach the spreadsheet I created to your requests so that other analysts can continue building your list.

The 25 female CFOs I identified who have taken a company public in order from most recent IPO are:

Conclusion

Of the 25 female CFOs I identified who were in that position at the time their company went public, the most recent candidate is Charlotte Holland, who is currently the CFO of Restoration Robotics and took the company public on October 12, 2017. The details for Ms. Holland and 24 other female CFO candidates have been entered on the attached spreadsheet.
