Executives and SWOT Analysis

This four-part report provides information about the education, work experience, publications, and media mentions of the following executives: Ronald "Ron" Hahn, Bruce Moorehouse, William Feld, and Jim Stollberg. To present the most complete possible picture of each individual, we included source material dating as far back as 1998. Our findings indicate that none of these executives have published any books or articles. Publicly available information for William Feld is particularly limited.

I. Ronald Hahn

Ronald Hahn is the president and chief operating officer (COO) at Scot Forge and has been with the company for nearly 30 years. This section contains details about his education, work experience, and interests, as well as any relevant articles or interviews in which he has been a focus.

Education

  • Hahn attended the Milwaukee School of Engineering between 1987 and 1991.
  • He received the Peter I. Georgeson Scholarship in 1990.

Work Experience

  • Hahn has been the president and COO at Scot Forge since July 2017. Prior to that, he was the vice president (VP) and COO.
  • He began his career with the company as a maintenance and engineering intern in 1990.
  • Hahn worked as an engineer at Scot Forge between 1991 and 2001.
  • In 2001, he was promoted to engineering manager and served in that role for five years.
  • Hahn worked as a project crew supervisor between 2006 and 2008.
  • He was appointed the director of manufacturing in 2008 and served in this capacity until he promoted to VP and COO in 2011.

Media Mentions, Interviews, and Awards

  • Hahn was cast as the Snowball Making Master in a December 2019 holiday-themed promotional video called "Scotty the Elf" that aimed to highlight the "unique company culture" at Scot Forge.
  • In July 2019, Hahn was awarded Outstanding Alumnus of the Year by the Milwaukee School of Engineering.
  • Hahn was quoted in an April 2019 article on the Milwaukee School of Engineering's website and said that his education there "ultimately led [him] to [his] dream career."
  • He was briefly mentioned in a news article on the Milwaukee School of Engineering's website in November 2018.

  • Hahn was mentioned in a February 2012 article for GazetteXtra about a company visit from Scott Walker, who was Wisconsin's governor at the time.

Hobbies and Interests

  • Hahn is married with two children, both of whom attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
  • His self-described priorities are "faith, family, and work."
  • In his free time, Hahn enjoys golfing and spending time with his wife and children.
  • He is an avid supporter of Leadership's Calling, a program designed to build participants' leadership skills. Hahn is quoted on its website as a former participant and describes it as an "exceptional program that has made a significant impact on [his] life both professionally and personally."

Research Strategy

We were unable to find any publications credited to Ron or Ronald Hahn. In an attempt to find this information, we initially searched trusted media sources, industry journals, and newspaper archives. When this yielded no results, we examined social media pages for both Hahn and Scot Forge. In addition, we scanned the Scot Forge company website to see if it included any articles published by Hahn. We also examined the Milwaukee School of Engineering website. After an exhaustive search, we determined that Hahn has not published any books or articles.

II. Bruce Moorehouse

Bruce Moorehouse is the former president of MAHLE Behr USA. This section contains details about his education, work experience, and interests, as well as any relevant articles or interviews in which he has been a focus.

Education

  • Moorehouse was issued a residential builder license in 2004 by the Michigan Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs.
  • He graduated from the University of Detroit Mercy in 1986 with a master of business administration (MBA) degree in finance.
  • He was issued a professional engineers license in 1982 by the Michigan Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs.
  • In 1978, Moorehouse graduated from Oakland University with a bachelor of science (BS) degree in mechanical engineering.

Work Experience

  • Moorehouse served as the president of MAHLE Behr USA from April 2016 until his retirement in February 2018. Prior to that, he was the president of MAHLE Filter Systems North America for four and a half years.
  • According to his LinkedIn profile, Moorehouse has more than 40 years of experience in general management and manufacturing.
  • In 1998, he became the VP of business development at Borg Warner Automotive. Moorehouse had been working with the company as a plant manager throughout the 1990s.
  • In the early 2000s, Moorehouse worked as the president and COO at MSP Industries, which is a subsidiary of American Axel & Manufacturing.

Media Mentions, Hobbies, and Interests

  • Moorehouse and his wife were mentioned in a January 2017 Detroit News article about a children's charity gala at the North American Auto Show. The article featured a photo of them at the event standing behind a GM Duramax 6.6-liter HD V-8 Turbo engine.
  • In his free time, Moorehouse enjoys boating, volunteer work, and spending time with his grandchildren.

Research Strategy

Information other than his education and work history is scarce for Moorehouse. We were unable to find any publications credited to Bruce Moorehouse, and he only appears in a single article. In an attempt to find this information, we initially searched trusted media sources, industry journals, and newspaper archives. When this yielded minimal results, we examined social media pages for both Moorehouse and MAHLE. In addition, we scanned the MAHLE, Borg Warner Automotive, and American Axel & Manufacturing company websites for press releases or any relevant articles. We also examined the websites for each college he attended. After an exhaustive search, we determined that Moorehouse has not published any books or articles and that his media mentions are limited.

III. William Feld

William Feld is the VP of global operations at Lydall Thermal Acoustical Solutions. This section contains details about his education and work experience. Please note that Feld's online presence is limited.

Education

  • Feld graduated from Lindenwood University with an MBA degree in operations management.
  • He also has a bachelor's degree from Saint Louis University.

Work Experience

  • Feld has been the VP of global operations at Lydall Thermal Acoustical Solutions since September 2017.
  • He worked as a manager of operations engineering at Boeing between 1986 and 1995.
  • In 1995, he accepted a position as a plant manager at the Stanley Works.
  • Feld became a manager of change management at Invensys in 1997 and stayed with the company for three years.
  • In 2000, he became the general manager of the polymer sealing division at Smiths Group. He was promoted to division director in 2002.
  • Feld left Smiths Group to briefly serve as the director of operations at INDEECO in 2004. He returned to Smiths Group in 2005 as the VP of operations.
  • Between 2009 and 2010, he acted as the principal business consultant to BNJS Management.
  • Feld began his career with Lydall as the director of engineering at Lydall Automotive in 2011.
  • He briefly worked as the VP of operations at Lydall Performance Materials in 2013 before moving back to Lydall Automotive as a VP and general manager in 2014. He served in this capacity until August 2017.

Research Strategy

Except for a detailed work history, Feld's online presence is sparse. We were unable to find any publications credited to William Feld, nor does he appear to have been mentioned in any media outlets or to have participated in interviews. In an attempt to find this information, we initially searched trusted media sources, industry journals, and newspaper archives. When this yielded no results, we examined social media pages for both Feld and Lydall. Aside from LinkedIn, Feld is not active on social media, and we were unable to find any details related to his hobbies or personal interests. In addition, we scanned the official websites for each company included in his work history to see if their archives contained any press releases or relevant articles. We also examined the websites for each college he attended. After an exhaustive search, we determined that Feld has not published any books or articles and that his digital presence is very limited.

IV. Jim Stollberg

Jim Stollberg is the founder and president of Gemini Global Advisors and a former executive vice president (EVP) at Dematic. This section contains details about his education, work experience, and interests, as well as any relevant articles or interviews in which he has been a focus.

Education

  • Between 2017 and 2018, Stollberg participated in the INSEAD Global Executive Program.
  • He graduated from Marquette University with a BS degree in mechanical engineering in 1988.

Work Experience

  • Stollberg served as the EVP of global product and solution management at Dematic between 2016 and 2018. Prior to that, he was the EVP of research and development.
  • From 1988 to 1998, he worked as a senior manager at Accenture (formerly Anderson Consulting).
  • He briefly served as the VP of manufacturing and third-party logistics at EXE Technologies in 1998 and 1999.
  • Between 1999 and 2010, he held several roles at HK Systems. These were: VP of strategy and business development, VP and general manager, VP of operations, VP of solutions delivery, and director of operations for the logistics software division.
  • Stollberg began his career with Dematic in 2010 as the VP of global product management. He was promoted to EVP of research and development in 2012.
  • He was an advisory board member at the Georgia Institute of Technology's Supply Chain & Logistics Institute between 2015 and 2018.
  • Stollberg left Dematic in July 2018 to found Gemini Global Advisors.
  • He is also presently a board member at ShipMonk and a supply chain management advisory board member at Marquette University.

Media Mentions, Interviews, and Speaking Events

  • In March 2018, Stollberg was quoted in a Dematic press release, speaking on the value of robotics animation.
  • He was quoted in an October 2017 article for Modern Materials Handling regarding the "brand consolidation plan for Egemin and NDC."
  • Another Modern Materials Handling article mentions him in September 2017. Stollberg was explaining Dematic's recent investments in robotic startups.
  • He was a keynote speaker at the March 2017 Smart Supply Chain & Logistics Conference in Australia.
  • In 2016, he was a speaker at the International Physical Internet Conference (IPIC) in Atlanta, Georgia.
  • A 2011 article in the Supply Chain Management Review features insight from Stollberg on how to develop turnkey solutions for material handling in warehouses.
  • He was also mentioned in a January 2006 article for DC Velocity.
  • Stollberg was quoted in a June 2004 article for SupplyChainBrain, discussing fulfillment customization as it relates to supply chain operations.

We were unable to find any publications credited to Jim Stollberg. In an attempt to find this information, we initially searched trusted media sources, industry journals, and newspaper archives. When this yielded no results, we examined social media pages for both Stollberg and Dematic. In addition, we scanned the official websites for each company included in his work history to see if their archives mentioned any publications. We also examined the Marquette University website. After an exhaustive search, we determined that Stollberg has not published any books or articles.
